Excellent property audio book

Excellent book. Some really good case studies of UK based property investors at the top of their game. Plenty of great ideas, philosophies and insight. Very easy to follow and understand. I highly recommend this book

Mentoring through Mortar!

A wonderfully entertaining and insightful book about people who have made money through property. Very,very good. Loved it and there was so much in everyone's stories that it was like a biography with heaps of learning attached.

I liked the narration by the author and will be finding and listening to more of his books.

A wholesome read/listen that gave me some much needed time for reflection

I was engrossed in this book start to finish. It gave me a lot to think about, in the both the core aspects of my property portfolio and those bits that require fine tuning.

I would recommend this book to beginners that require a mindset shift and to build their 'property IQ'. Or the more experienced investors looking for reflection time and the opportunity to glean some golden nuggets.

Some may see 4hrs of audio as a lot but for me it was only a taster. I could have done 10 times that with content like this.

Down to earth

I have read a lot of property books. Probably Rob Dix is one of my favourites with its down to earth and no nonsense approach. This one is very interesting read to see big or small landlords take on the business

I've been learning from Rob and have all 3 of his books . there are a lot of property gurus out there but Rob is right up there with the best. this book takes youn throuh real life stories of investors and acts as a great window into their world . a must read.

I expected more about the "how to quickly invest" in silver and gold part of this book and was a bit disappointed. However I did like the amount of detail, in depth definitions and history that the author included in the book. Lots of little obscure facts which are great to know. My two favorite books on investing in gold and silver so far have been:

Laugh-out-loud funny AND full of really useful perspective on money

I was really surprised by the fact that this book could be both laugh-out-loud funny AND actually full of really useful perspective on money, as well as life in general. We all spend a lot of time concerning ourselves with "first world problems" and this is such a breath of down-to-earth fresh air. I normally have a harder time getting through non-fiction and I found this to be such a great read--lots of "that's happened to me" or "I cannot believe that happened to her... but maybe it could in LA" stories--such that I couldn't put it down. A terrific mix of humor and meaning.

Laugh out loud funny with useful tips along the way!

I was laughing out loud through the whole book. It's a great book for anyone, no matter what their financial situation. The stories, were not only funny, but completely relatable. We've all been down and wanting what others want....this just reminds you that you are human and makes you laugh too. I also found quite a bit of useful info in it. What a great read - also a good gift for others!!

Horrible narration

Interesting topic, but the narration makes it hard to focus. The narrator emphasizes every other word and gets on your nerves really quickly. I was planning on using this book as a calm "don't worry, we'll get you through this" kind of story but ended up annoyed and returning the book instead. Would pick up again if a new narrator records this book.

Ok for the price.

There are a lot of good features in this book, but it is a bit more specific to making money in a tech-oriented service through Warrior Forums. Keep in mind, the author is a single young man able to support his minimalist lifestyle while living in a low cost area of the world. Therefore the lifestyle may work for someone similarly situated, but this will not necessarily replace your 9-5 while meeting the mortgage (as he correctly points out).

There were some parts of the book with which I disagreed. First, he advocates charging by the hour versus by the project. From construction companies to law firms, businesses are slowly but surely learning that the billable hour approach is not always appropriate. In the end, the customer doesn't care about the process, they care about results. Maybe in his experience hourly is better than per project. To be fair, he stresses constant communication to ensure customers aren't surprised by a bill that goes way past estimates.

One chapter was supposed to be an education about how to manage expectations and how to deal with deadbeat clients, but after reading the dialog I had more sympathy for the customer than the author, the service provider. The author gave a list of things he did much the same way a law firm bills each item.
