Very Basic and misguided

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Most of she said is very basic for someone starting out. Some of what she says isn't true. Your credit report.. shows how you manage your credit. It doesn't report criminal activity. The credit scores that lenders use, DOES NOT go up to 900. I agree you need a to monitor your spending however always cutting clothing and entertainment is equivalent to going on a diet in the long term doesn't work.You do not pay interest or taxes and insurance on escrowed by your mortgage.Mortgage insurance that she is referring to is an additional fee, that's offered by a 3rd party company, that you pay directly. This is not to be confused with. . PMI or mortgage insurance offered by government insured loans.

What could Katie Swan have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

A Handy Guide

This is a good, handy guide for someone interested in getting started in real estate investing.

I like that the book covers all the bases that a new investor would need to know prior to launching into real estate investing, including:

Various types of real estate investing

The team that the investor needs to back him or her up

Where to find properties

Getting a loan

How to make an offer and conduct due diligence

Insurance considerations

Property management

Refinancing

Selling a property

The author points out, âItâs easy to get a loan unless you need it.â This is especially true in the economic climate our county is in right now. Would be investors should be aware that one needs extremely good credit and a strong down payment to quality for a loan these days. Itâs not as easy to get a loan now as it was 10-15 years ago.

However, I agree with the author that real estate is the most accessible path to creating wealth, much better than stock market investing, savings bonds, or other options. With little training and a strong desire to succeed, the aspiring real estate investor can learn everything they need to know as they go along. There is never a perfect time to begin. The key is to find a good property and just get started.

While aimed at the beginner, there are also useful information and pitfalls to avoid for experienced investors. Someone considering jumping into real estate investing would do well to read this book first.

An Awesome Real Estate Investment Guide

This book is a great resource for a beginner in real estate investing as well as an investor who may need to brush up

on information. This book covered many of the questions a new investor may have from the reasons to taking the plunge

into investing all the way to selling your investment property. So, if you have even a fleeting thought about purchasing a property

as an investment, this book offers information about different types of properties to invest in as well as the pros and cons. There was information about loans and where to get money as well as the cost of the money. There was a whole section about building a team for your investment; something I never thought about. There was information about insurance for the investment. This is a valuable handbook to have to begin a search for the right property to buy and refer to as you hold the property until the time is right to sell. I particularly enjoyed the quotes at the beginning of each chapter.

Accessible Investment Book for the Lay Person

The author says it all in his intro: âLife is too short not to enjoy what youâre doing.â Truer words were never spoken. But getting to that point is no easy feat. Many of us would love to be making a prosperous living doing what we love; few are.

no real insights..... my recommendation is to read articles found in business magazines and make you own determinations.

Uninspiring!

This was not a very insightful or interesting book. Rather old information and nothing tying the many interviews together with possible lessions or insights for readers.

A Real Gem !

"Fortune Zoom: Surprising Ways to Supercharge Your Career" by Daniel Roberts is a real gem hiding in plain sight. The thrust of the book is to take bold risks with a great idea which ignites a particular field like Twitter, Facebook, Google or Under Armour.

Sometimes, taking a new idea to market is like a thrust into the unknown with calculated risks involved. The new idea may be as simple as doing your own thing or probing for improvisations on an existing product or process. The author teaches that the success model requires entrepreneurs to surround themselves with smart people, build a strong culture, embrace solid values, drive change and have a passion for what you are doing.

One of the most important things to do at the outset is to search for a problem to solve. Maybe it's creating a social gathering place on the internet; such as , Facebook or revolutionizing product manufacture with 3D printing. At bottom, new entrepreneurs must live by the rule that "the user is king". Transparency is paramount and products must deliver on the promises set forth in advertising.

Overall, "Fortune Zoom" by Daniel Roberts is an important book on the dynamics of bringing great ideas from conceptual formulation to market.

Written before modern inspirational how-to books. Upon reflection, the core principles for constant reflection on specific intense desire and ceasless daily action are the same as more modern works.

One could wonder if most modern authors read this work and were all mightily influenced by it.

The author's metaphysical description of unseen forces in the universe are interesting, and certainly easy to understand and think about, whether or not those forces actually exist in the form the author presents. It is easy to treat that analysis as an analogy, it is a good framework for things no one has successfully fully descibed or proven. One's own experience in applying the author's principles for action will undoubtedly give results that will conform to the expected outcomes suggested by the philosophical framework presented by the author.

And, once rich, the philosophy hardly matters.

As the author emphasises, the daily ACTIONS one takes while keeping one's specific goals constantly in mind are the keys to riches.

Standard Approach For Getting Rich...Think It...Oh And Then Do It!

I sometimes like to go back to the classics on success to see what they have to tell me. Like going back to the basics in sports. However, Wattles book, while good, is not as inspiring to me as Think And Grow Rich!

However, I compare a classic to a bible on success. Maybe not fair! Either way, good read for methods of success fans. Just not re-reading and re-reading the book, like I do with Napoleon Hill's classic.
