Bernadette Janson is the founder of The School Of Renovating

She has been passionate about renovating since she completed her first project as a 13 year old.

Renovating enabled her to retire from nursing at 29, pay off a mortgage, help her young adult children with their first home deposit and earn a serious six figure income while still having time to pursue her personal interests

She personally completes an average of  2- 3  renovation projects per year using her signature 100k renovation system

Bernadette also has an interest in the financial empowerment of Australian women. She believes that many are financially vulnerable, especially when approaching retirement due to their tendency to sacrifice their own ambitions and financial security in order to be the main caregivers in families.

She now helps women channel their creativity and flair for homemaking into renovating for-profit and Airbnb so they can earn a six-figure income working part-time. She is also the host of the She Renovates podcast, community and Annual Conference

Kylie Zeal is a Book Coach. She wrote her first book in 2013, and wishes she knew then what she knows now about how to plan, draft, edit and publish a book, not to mention how to manage her time so the writing happens faster. That knowledge would have saved her more than two years of meandering, confusion and self-doubt.

Fortunately, Kylie persevered, driven by the experience of how much books had helped her transform her life and a desire to have the same impact on others, and eventually published her book. It became a valuable asset in her business, coaching industry leaders and entrepreneurs.

Kylie continued to write and publish books and discovered that she wanted to spend more of her time immersed in the world of writing and publishing. So, after more than a decade of executive and leadership coaching, Kylie formally changed her title to Book Coach and underwent training to become an accredited book coach.

Now, Kylie feels like she is living her best life. She gets to spend her days helping clients around the world capture the important and valuable ideas, knowledge and expertise in their heads and write their book. Her signature phrase is, “You can write a page-turner book, even if you have a day job and other responsibilities.”

Scott Johnson is the proud Co-founder of Get Mentally Fit with his psychologist wife Emily.

Scott taught at secondary school level, on the Gold Coast in Queensland, for 13 years. A series of conspicuous signposts eventually led to Scott leaving the teaching profession.

Like many education stakeholders, he experienced the negative effects of increasing academic demands and assessment pressures on students.  Attending the 2018 PESA (Positive Education Schools Association) conference, at Geelong Grammar School, evidently ignited his passion for finding a personal solution to this troubling issue. 

With the luxury of Emily’s professional support and guidance, Scott was able to respond mindfully and effectively to increasing feelings of personal discontent with teaching. This transition facilitated Scott’s shift from teaching at a supportive, high performing school to now thoroughly enjoying the demands of creating, designing and facilitating Get Mentally Fit’s unique brand of pro-active mental health education. 

Scott and Emily are passionate about actively researching and developing evidence-based approaches for enhancing student wellbeing. This translated into the Student Mental Fitness program.

Whilst it took a considerable period of time to get out of the groove of teaching life, including coming out in cold sweats at the thought of bells, Scott is reminded daily of the satisfying benefits of having the courage to follow his intuition and values into his new and exciting professional chapter.

Scott re-energises by surfing the beautiful Gold Coast breaks, reading books during the day (especially mid-week), contorting at yoga, and being trained by his Labrador Retriever Ellie.
