VCM Is an excellent author, but I honestly had no idea what to expect from this selection. I purchased this book on the strength of the other books. It did NOT disappoint. The characters are vivid and well formed. The twist and turns and the unexpected chain of events proves for never a dull movement. Cierra a definite immature Diva, which makes for great drama. That perfect marriage, I was anticipating a downfall, but you all that are reading this review will have to listen for yourselves. I give this Two snaps in a circle! LOL!

This author did good considering I try to avoid books that she narrates b/c she swallows alot during her reading. There was no annoying noises done this time.

This was a good book with a story line that has never been done before.

Story line wasn't good enough to be drawn out.....

The story was a good story but was too long without enough action. I think if stories are going to be embellished or drawn out it should be done with action or a point.... Sort of like a punch line to a joke. I was very surprised by the endings of all the women stories. Although throughout the story they were more than naive that kind of aggravated me because it was unrealistic for a woman not to snoop it's in their nature. Overall the book wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best either.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend this book to someone who wants a pure "drama", non-sustantial read not to my die hard J.D. Mason fans who crave depth and a little something more.

What was most disappointing about J. D. Masons story?

The ending. Some things concluded rather obvious, other things were left to a weak conclusion.

Up until this point, I have LOVED most everything J.D. Mason has done. I know that it's not easy starting with a different kind of story and characters. I am bored with details about how much money something costs, designer names and descriptions of status beyond what's necessary to develop character. I am more interested in who the person is and the truths that we all think/know but are not always amplified.

Just okay.

Eh, the story was a little bland. The plot didn't connect well with me. The overall writing was okay. I feel like l the relationship between desi and Solomon could have been written about a little more.

Good book but didn't like the ending

I would recommend with reservations.I started listening to the book a few times. I did not like it. After several attempts, and several chapters into the book, I gained some interest and wanted to see it through.In summary, I thought it was good book. I felt incomplete at the end as if the book didn't come to a conclusion, but it never mentions a part 2. I can only assume there would be a part 2.If I knew it would end the way it did, then I would not have read it unless part 2 was already available and published.

If youve listened to books by Noire before, how does this one compare?

This was the first one. For the character to be from New York, the reader read the book with a strong southern accent. i just thought that to be odd.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Needs a new title. The title of the book is a definite turn off.

Surprised but delightful

I am simply amazed that these reality stars are able to put together such a good story lines. This book was a good read and was well put together it kept me engaged and wanting to find out what will happen next. I know that I want to read the next book to find out what will happen to the main character and her best friend. There are vivid sexual scenes but this book isn't raunchy but is along the lines of being classy and interesting. The Narrator was very good and the twist and turns in the book will make you say WOW I wasn't expecting that.

I had no expectation, because I only know the author as a reality show personality. Well be not disappointed getting this book. It was really good. The narrator slammed this one.

This book draws a picture of items seen on the BBW, but digs a little deeper, especially in character development. Its about a group of women that form a club based on them being involved with athletes. The groups premise is protection from those outside the circle trying to get in, like, groupies and such. Get in by trying to get their men. (Eye roll, lol) They try to get pregnant for cash and a whole lot of other instances. I will stop here before I give it away. Its not predictable but it is......It is real juicy at times.

'Inner Circle' written by Evelyn Lozada....She got skills. (ebonically speaking). The book was surprisingly a very good read. Between her and Ashley and JaQuavis, Cash Money is doing their thing in the book arena well, similar to their music careers. I would definitely refer this book.

Sad to see it end

It seem to drag on in some parts of the book but overall it was good. I hate see it end but I feel like it needed to. Im really going to miss scary Mary, she was my favorite character.

I was very disappointed with this book. With 3 very talented authors, I expected more. Maybe the three novellas could have been developed into three full-length stories because the story line was certainly there. I "looked" at this book for weeks before I decided to purchase it and now I wish that I would let it stay on the shelf. A true disappointment!

Good story!

I thought this story was interesting and it kept me riveted. I didn't think the ending was all that great, but overall, I thought it was a good read.

.....not the best, but it was o.k.

I am a HUGE fan of KLR but this is not a favorite of mine, it was an ok listen.

Disappointed

This story dragged a lot and i was not impressed or intrigued to listen. The narrator did an excellent job but all in all this story line was horrible and I like Mary B Morrison but i wouldn't refer this book to any reader.

Publisher's Review is WRONG!!!

I bought this recording based on the review but the story line doesn't come close to it. However, the book was enjoyable and kept my attention. I was disappointed with the ending because it left too many issues unresolved. I can only hope that Ms. Morrison will continue this story in her next book.

I was very disappointed in this book, to say the least! Mona & Catherine's attitude and psyche in the book was shameful and not very realistic. I mean who waits for a high-school love for 10 years after graduation? Especially one who never writes, calls, I mean he never even sent them a message by a carrier pidgon! Who does that!? If anything, this made them seem desperate; although Mona married, she still waited for Lincoln in her heart...& Catherine...Lawd! I'll leave the rest of my comment to myself. (let's just say that words cannot be shared on Audible) DO NOT WASTE YOUR CREDIT! TRUST ME!

Liked it but could have been so much more

I have been wanting to get this book for about 6 months now and I'm kinda disappointed that i used a credit for it. Bahni Turpin has such an amazing voice and I simply love how much she brings the characters to life. I think that i expected more drama than what I really got. The daughter coming out of the wood works after 18 years added something to the book but I guess I was expecting more like maybe having a baby with another chick while the hustler/preacherman was married I guess I'm so use to books with infidelity I was expecting the wife to have been heartbroken because she found out that her man was cheating and had a baby in the process. Desember was a bad lil chick true hustler mentality like father like daughter but i do like how the author focused on the aspect of family. Family may disappoint ya sometimes but at the end of the day the ones who know the true meaning of loyalty will never disappoint and will always have your back.

It was soooo good. Serious and Funny, and I did not want to stop listening. I love Bahni Turpin's voices. She makes the book the aurthors just write it. A must buy. Keep these coming, they can't get released any faster??

it wasnt what i expected

the last novel built this up for an exciting end.. it just led up to another book.. i wont spoil it for everyone, but i was disappointed about the culprit..no real excitement for me

I gave this book 5stars it was very well written and I have read the Hustler Wife & Forever a Hustlers Wife enjoying the story of Yarni & Des. The left me to wonder what decision did Des make to the ultimatum given by Yarni also how is Desember living and Desi when she grows up.
