Cool in a retro futuristic way--loved!

Would you listen to Adventures in the Solar System again? Why?

I plan on listening again MANY times. Useful information about the planets, super cool sound effects, neat narration. This is an undiscovered gem!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked the child narrator the best. It's unusual, I think, for children to narrate books but I think it's very effective.

Did Geoffrey T. Williams do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

All the characters are very different, so yes. There is child named WIll. He jumps into a robot called Planetron, which is also a spaceship. That is an older man's voice. There is a spunky female robot who is the data system for the ship. There are Will's parents, briefly. The robot/data system's voices have some sort of sound effect over them to make them sound more robo

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A tour of the planets

Just that this is awesome. Held the attention of both the 6 year old, but also the 3 year old. Even if the smaller children can't concentrate on the narration about the methane concentration on Jupiter, they will like the cool sound effects, etc.

There is a small sort of bell sound that is somewhat distracting at times, but did not bother me; I think it is probably a signal to turn a page on a physical book. In any event, it did not bother us.

Great special effects, good storyline, and I learned a lot about our Solar System, without being bored. 2 thumbs UP!

Plain pasta for the brain

The kids love this MP3 probably because it reminds them of the tv series. As for me, the parent, it's a little dull. The narration is somewhat monotone, the story (there are two) lacks humor and sometimes I question the moral character of these stories -- they often contain sibling friction and teasing. All in all, its an inoffensive albiet tedious choice that the kids will love. A bit like a dinner of noodles and peas.

Two adults and 6-year-old loved this on car trip from Lake Geneva WI to Chicago on a grey day. We were amazed that the time flew by as fast as it did, and all three of us were convinced it was because we had such a good time laughing along with the stories.

Say Hello To Arthur He's Really Glad To Meet You

These are really great. We had them in the car and listened to them about 1,000 times without going insane.

Another page turner

Ron Roy writes a great children's mystery series. These stories are written at about a second grade reading level and encourage my child to read.

Great Series

I have many of these books in my classroom, and my students asked for some new ones. They enjoy the stories, and they are great chapter books for students who like chapter books but aren't ready for longer ones. I teach fourth grade.

A classic tortoise and the hare story.

Another great book. It is your classic tortoise and the hare story. I love these books because my daughter who is 8 read them easily. She is absolutely obsessed with Pete the Cat. The illustrations are great as well. The pictures are bright and vivid. Love this book.

perfect for new readers

Perfect for my 4-year old who has just started reading. The repetitive characters are great and she really likes them. The books are relatively short and the pages are one or two lines. Perfect for new readers with easy words and relatively few difficult words.

Love Pete the Cat

Purchased this for our neighbors son for Christmas. I work in an elementary school library, and the kids all love Pete the Cat. Highly recommend any of the Pete the Cat books!

My little brother and I really enjoyed the book because it's so funny and it is so exiting. The gadgets are very cool. We didn't know who is going to win until the very end.

Excellent

This story was interesting. Nia was sweet and her dressing up in her mom's old clothes was cute. Her middle child status was relatable and Nia's need to be something special is how all of us feel at times.

Best return to childhood ever

This audio book returned me to my many holidays as a child reading this book it was just as good as i remembered if not better. I cant wait for audible to get the other two books
