There as a long introduction to the beginning of 'yo mamma' jokes in chapters one and two. A lot of the jokes are repetitive. We listened to it on a road trip. It was just OK.

Silly

Maybe I do not understand British humor, but this wasn't funny. Better than the other one with the three dysfunctional women at a restaurant, but not by much.

The performers were good, but they didn't have much to work with. I found it highly predictable and was glad when it was over. There were a couple of amusing moments, but they were not enough to salvage the whole.

Don't Waste Your Time

This tries very hard to be funny and fails spectacularly. This was free and was still a waste.

Predictable, but fairly enjoyable

I think it started out nicely, had a few chuckles, but by the time I got to the end I was just a bit bored. It was very predictable, you just sort of know what jokes they're gonna make.

I liked the different characters though, and the narrators all did a great job.

Could be something...

The Hub takes its place in a long line of sitcoms based around bureaucratic incompetence, pomposity and the absurdity of all those silly rules. Think Men from the ministry, Twenty twelve and....the mother of them all....Yes Minister.

It has some good ideas and the central premise of being set in the world of intelligence is a sound one but I think it would need to go more into the intelligence gathering itself to really work. I hope that is the plan.

An enjoyable half hour, thank you, and I look forward to hearing how you develop things.

This was the last of the five . Not impressed, not very funny. If I had paid for these I'd want a refund.

Eh...

Slightly reminiscent of Hitchhiker's Guide, but not quite in that league. Made me chuckle in a few places, but mostly groan throughout the listening.

Would you try another book from Dewi Llywelyn and/or the narrators?

The narrators, maybe. Dewi Llywelyn, no.

What was most disappointing about Dewi Llywelyns story?

It wasn't least bit funny or engaging. Sounded like an attempt by a seven-year-old to channel Monty Python or Douglas Adams where only every fiftieth word came through.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrators?

No one different. They just had awful material to work with.

You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No.

It was an attempt at something, I just don't know what.

Beautifully executed...pun intended.

Loved the characterisation, the asides, the absurdity, Cuppy.

Didn't go in for the gruesome stuff much....as we all know, what you imagine is waaaaay worse than what you see and so some of the descriptions were quite hard to listen to. I'm a wimp, yes....but I would have loved to go with you on this swashbuckling journey AND still be able to eat my lunch.

Please make more but this time, hold the disembowelling:)
