Lots of repetitions.

This book was a bit boring in my opinion. There not much going on in the book, and I wasn't able ask my child many good educational questions about it. The content is also very disappointing in my opinion. This book doesn't teach children the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Or building a relationship with a pet. Honestly, not what I expected. We love many other Pete books, just not this one.

A delightful book for your own little fairy.

My granddaughter is acquainted with Pinkalicious from the public library, but she had not yet checked this one out.

I am trying to help her build her own library at home.

At seven she has learned to read, and is at that level where learning new words has taken off.

What a delightful stage of reading for both her and me!

The Pinkalicious books are perfect for this level of skill, with plenty of new words that add to your child's vocabulary and are easy to understand and use.

The Fairy House book is particulary enjoyable for my granddaughter because gardens and fairies and tiny things are of great interest to her.

Not only is the book entertaining, but it has inspired her to make her own little garden with found objects.

You can't go wrong with the delightful Pinkalicious series for little girls who are just beginning to develop reading skills.

I really enjoyed this series of fantasy books written from a Christian world view. The third book was just as good as the first two!

A gripping tale with a wonderful ending.

I should like to read this book to my girls because it was a great story full of twists and turns. Had me laughing and gasping at different moments of the story. I loved all the characters, but I think Thorn is my favorite even though she isn't a main character in the books.

Not Your Typical Fairy Story

I loved R. J. Anderson's trilogy. I'm generally resistant to stories featuring fairies, having read too many rehashes of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Anderson's fairies are different and thoughtful. I thought she was particularly deft in handling the moral issues. The ethics of fairies may not seem on the surface to have much to do with "regular people," but her characters have a universal appeal. I found her writing to be very much in the spirit of the Inklings: the strong, steady moral world view of a J.R.R. Tolkien with the delights of a Lewis Narnia cast. If you don't have a Kindle or a device to use the Kindle app, you should consider getting yourself a foreign hard copy of ARROW.

Not all I had hoped but its OK

Compared to the previous books in the series I found it flat and predictable but this may be an indication of the previous books quality rather than this ones failure. If read alone it would probably be a good read

This is an excellent second part to the series "not an ordinary fairy story". I liked it a lot and it was full of surprises.

Yes Jeff Kinney's book is awesome and Dan Russell has done a fab job with his narrative skills. As good as the other books in the series The Thrid wheel was hilarious. We enjoyed listening to the book as a family and right from my 7 yr old to daddy all were rolling with laughter.

I had a Ladybird copy of this as a child- it was a long-held favorite. I was delighted to find a newer copy in the same edition, with the same gorgeous illustrations, for my own girls.

Great book great series!

This is book 16th of the 23 books in this series that I have read. I can honestly say it was my loss that I did not discover them sooner. They are amazing reads and wonderful stories for the family and for the young and young-at-heart.

Stink Moody is having problems. He got a "U" on his report card - an unsatisfactory. For a young boy who has always gotten "O"'s for outstanding, this is a huge setback. He flunked Physical Education and his parents are making him take up a sport. He is flipping through the sports channels and comes across thumb wrestling and he thinks he has found his niche, for thumb wrestling builds strength, stamina and strategy. But there is only one problem - he can't win, he loses to everyone he wrestles. Then he gets so mad he starts flailing about. He breaks some wood, and he keeps on breaking things. So his parents enroll him in Karate and he finds a new discipline both in the dojo and out! Yet another great read I like by amazing story tellers.

My 8 year old boy loves this series! This was another great book. I must confess I like reading these with him too!

Don't Read It!

The comic strips were really bad and I didn't like the thummy (which was actually a mummy). There were some bad words in there that me and my mom had to cover up with tape. I usually like the Stink books, but this one was horrible.

Great first chapter books for boys

My 5-year-old son is so happy with the Stink series. It has been the perfect set of first chapter books for him. We started by reading pages alternately, first him, then me, but now he is reading chapters on his own and complaining when he has to stop to go to sleep. He loves the boy humor, and I love the reading skills and real-world knowledge he's building.
