Great story for both boys and girls.

I was extremely happy when I found out that I am able to get this book on audible.com. This was my favorite book when I was a child (back when I lived in Poland), and I really wanted my nine-year-old son to know it too. The story is sweet, full of unknown creatures and it teaches kids about love, friendship and what is important in life. It lets the child escape the everyday world and indulge in the beautiful world of Ronjas, the world where child is closely connected with nature; the world when child can roam free in the woods and learn how to be responsible and independent; the world of freedom that so many kids nowadays would never have a chance to experience. Since Ronjas world is full of creatures the child is able to use its imagination to the fullest.

At first, I was not sure how my son would respond to this book, as the main character is a girl (the other character is a boy, but Ronja is the main one), but now I know that it didnt matter. My son loves it. In fact, anytime he is a little bit upset, he asks me if we can listen to Ronja. He tells me it makes him calm down. Would I recommend this book? Absolutely. It is a book I would recommend to any family that would like to share the world created by this wonderful author, Astrid Lindgren with their kids.

It's a beautiful book! The story is moving - I love the similarities between Lobis an Undis in defending their children.

we listen to this while traveling on summer vacation with our five and seven year olds. Loved hearing the original writings, as we have just about finished the Amazon TV series. the story does not disappoint. Same author as Pippi Longstocking, so we knew it would be wonderful!

Doomwyute

Another excellent Redwall book, full of all the usual suspense and drama. Korvus Skurr, a deadly raven, is an excellent villain - especially when he is attacked by another evil force, Balis, the giant adder.

Overall, this is a lot better than a the previous one Eulalia! which I found a bit dissapointing, but not as good as some other ones.

We do listen almost weekly. My son (age 9) surprisingly loves it. Its a great little story.

What did you like best about this story?

Great story. Nothing offensive. Humphrey the hamster really enjoys learning with the children in his class. and has adventures, too.

Which scene was your favorite?

I personally enjoyed how Humphrey goes home with each child including the teacher and we get a glimpse as teachers as real people. Something young kids don't really think about.

Yes, the story keeps moving smoothly.
