    Wonderful!
I have a 35 minute commute with my granddaughter and grandson each day. ; morning and evening. What an wonderful dimension to add while together. We laugh, talk about the various stories and themes and have an absolute fantastic time. In addition, we don't "listen" unless they follow-along with the book. My granddaughter's reading level actually went up three levels using this method!! I just ordered two more books as well as the audio books. Simply delightful. Rare!! :-))
    I love this book

Would you consider the audio edition of Strawberry Girl to be better than the print version?
The author, Lois Lenski, is brilliant, and the narrator does a great job of bringing out the different characters with her voices. My children were captivated and did not want me to shut it off.

    Classic
Well read. Important lessons for everyone to learn. Really speaks to the children and puts things at their level.
    Poor reading, great story
I love the story of "Strawberry Girl", but I feel like the person who read it used to much emphasis on the country accent. Sometimes I found it hard to understand. The story, though, is AMAZING.
great story... volume difficult to control
love the story and the history. makes me want to find her other books. the story teller was great in voices and inflection. only complaint is the yelling in the book or raised voices would hurt the ears but if you turned it down you couldn't hear the book.

Will Tyler can fly on a football field. He may not be the biggest running back around, but no one can touch him when it comes to hitting the hole and finding the end zone. And no one can match his love of the game. When Will has a football in hand, he may as well be flying for real because life can't touch him - his dad isn't so defeated, his town isn't so poor, and everyone has something to cheer for. All of which does him no good if the football season is canceled. With no funding for things like uniforms and a cared-for playing field, with seemingly every other family moving to find jobs, there simply isn't enough money or players for a season. Unless one kid can rally an entire town and give everyone a reason to believe.
For fans of his best-selling novels Travel Team and Million-Dollar Throw, Mike Lupica delivers a feel-good sports story that will have readers cheering where they sit.

    Good
It was very good my favorite book in the world. I am a football fan. Amazing book
A great story- about what it means to be a winner
Lupica keeps this story moving at great pace, and the sports sequences read like the best of play-by-play and color announcing. The greatest strength is in the characters Lupica builds and makes the reader believe in and care about. Very enjoyable story.

Less than 24 hours later, the old man is dead. The motel has burned, and Daniel is missing. And Cyrus and Antigone are kneeling in a crowded hall, swearing an oath to an order of explorers who have long served as caretakers of the world's secrets, keepers of powerful relics from lost civilizations, and jailers to unkillable criminals who have terrorized the world for millennia.
    N. D. Wilson, author of Leepike Ridge and 100 Cupboards, returns with an imagination-capturing adventure that inventively combines the contemporary and the legendary.
    Members Reviews:
    Great story - great narration
This book was a great listen. N.D. Wilson is one of the best young adult fiction writers and his new series is off to a fantastic start. All of the characters are interesting and it's fun to find out more about each one as the story unfolds. The storyline is really good -- the momentum builds quickly. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series.
most definitely one of the best authors of Our gen
incredible storytelling a mixture of historical and fictional. creatively retold by the author, truly amazing
I really fell in love with this book for it's plot and action I hope everyone who listens to this feels the same
I love this book and highly recommend it to any one who like a good plot and a lot of action
    Set Assumptions Aside...
This story seems to borrow from a dozen different successful children's adventure stories--some of the borrowing is not even subtle: many of the names are taken right out of the pages of Treasure Island. It is the story of orphaned youths who find themselves to be the heirs of some estate they knew nothing about, mixed with a secret society that trains their members in exotic arts, and a "bad guy that everyone fears and who has a family history with the heroes. . . .
BUT....It's good. The characters are engaging, the wordcraft excellent, the conflicts compelling, and the world enchanting.
I kept expecting the story to go somewhere "cheesy," but I was pleasantly surprised. Some elements were predictable but no more than a YA story should be.
I really enjoyed this one, and I plan to read the next in the series.
    Disappointing
I really wanted to like this book. I heard the author give an interview and I was excited to read a book about how the real world can be magical and how children have to take responsibility for their own learning so that they can participate in battling the world's evils. But instead the main characters keep waiting for adults and other Order members to take care of them, teach them, feed them, solve their problems for them. And the "real-life" villans sound nothing like the ones I'm familiar with. Rather than political despots and child abusers I was expecting, these 2-dimensional villans heave fireballs, steal dragon's teeth, and intrude telepathically into people's minds seemingly without motive. The description of place is also lacking. I keep finding myself imagining the scenes taking place in the dark.

    A good book
It was a very good book I would recommend this book to others!
I thought it was a fun book but not much of any thrilling parts and I love scary and thrilling things!
    Cool book
I put this rating because I liked it but it is too small I read it in like 30 minutes it should have like 10 chapters and they should find the fairy in like the third chapter and it is not my favorite rainbow magic book. I think my friend should read it.

    Perfect for 10+ year old
    Any additional comments?
I have a 10 year old step-son who is NOT into reading! Going into 6th grade, this is obviously making us all crazier than usual. His Mom has tried some audio books for him rented from the library but it didn't take. The kids hear me listening to my audio books all the time and sometimes they chime in so I thought this one could be for us. We mostly listened to it in the car, but it took a while as we live in a small town and don't drive too far between places, but we loved getting in the car!!! His Dad and I were worried as the main character is a girl, but it didn't bother him. The story is great, entertaining and well put together. The characters are consistent and the narration, in my opinion, works perfect for Olive and all the characters. I highly recommend this for all ages (the 13 year old liked doing errands with us all of a sudden... Not because he liked the book or anything, lol) I thoroughly enjoyed this first installment and am looking forward to starting book 2 next week!!!!
    My class loved it!
My students are reviewing Bluebonnet nominees for this year, so I decided to read this book with them. I was worried that my boys would not be as interested in the story due to its female main character, however all of my students truly enjoyed all of the characters, plot, and narration. They have asked me to continue reading the series!
    Great listen
Normally not a fan of children books, but I was looking for something different. The sample blew me away with the excellent range of voices displayed by the narrator, Lexy Fridell.
    Best series ever!!
I love this series and the series is very well narrated with a fitting and relatable voice, just like how it is written. Recommended for anyone!!

Great narration, series floundering a bit
My son (age 8) and I have listened to the whole series. He loves it. I'm growing a little weary of it, only because it seems like the author is running out of ideas, so what he's actually coming up with is a bit tedious. But it's not for me, right? We LOVE the narrator. He does a wonderful job of creating specific voices for each character that remain consistent throughout the series. Puck is, of course, our favorite. He is the best-written character, and Mr. Ganser's interpretation of him has us howling.
    Amazing!!
This book is comfort food for me, I love the whole series!! It should be more recognized!!
