Get Real With Rick Dancer

A local legislator (Lane County) has introduced a couple of house bills that have a lot of folks pretty upset. We talk with an expert out of Salem about what the bills could do and what the likely hood is that they will ever pass. This is probably going to irritate you.

They are out to protect their rights, their freedom of speech and their ability to make a living. They have support and they have folks who are mad at them. This is their story, this is their reason.

We live in crazy times. People use their passive aggressive skills out of fear as they try to control people's conversations. This happens because those same people believe, truly believe they hold the key to the right information and anyone who disagree's is uninformed. We'll that's not true and we talk about that and have some fun at the same time. Oh, we also have a little snow forecast in this show.

A lot of people have the wrong idea about sex trafficking. It's happening all over Western Oregon but most of us don't see it so we pay little attention. An expert out Bend is joining forces with a local organization to offer information to protect your family and our community.

The Boy Scouts of America has had it's share of bad press over the last few years. We sat down with our local Scout Council to talk about some of the misperceptions about the scouts and the bankruptcy.  The media tends to focus on the short soundbites leaving large holes where truth is hidden, here we uncover that truth. 

Too many people are too afraid to speak out right now. I think that's wrong. I think we need to find unity by agreeing to disagree not simply trying to silence those who disagree with us.

A while back I heard a doctor on a local radio station saying things about Covid 19 that I had not heard from a professional before. He's a professor at Stanford University and is part of a larger organization seeking to dispel some myths and talk about things we don't hear a lot. You may not agree with him and that's okay. In a world of hyper-censorship I believe we all need to start looking for additional sources of information.
