The empty ice cream container tells the story better than words—emotional eating has taken control again. It’s Coach Jordanna here, and today I'm talking all about this universal struggle with compassion and strategic insights on how to stop emotional eating for good. I reveal why it's your brain—not your willpower—behind those stress-induced snack attacks and share my HALT method that's transformed countless clients' relationships with food. No shame, no guilt, just practical solutions for breaking free from emotional eating cycles.
Ready to transform your relationship with food and reclaim control over emotional eating? DM me the word "HALT" on Instagram for a free one-page guide to put these strategies into practice today.

We've been there – choking down awful-tasting cleanses, surviving on 900 calories while working out for hours, and suffering through fasting protocols that left us hungry and miserable. As coaches, we've seen these same destructive patterns keeping countless women stuck in cycles of restriction and rebound. In this no-holds-barred episode, we expose the diet myths that prevent you from seeing results and reveal what actually works.
We get brutally honest about our own diet disasters—from Marilynn's 900-calorie starvation days to Jordanna's vacation cleanse rituals and Tijana's revelation about what fuels performance. We share shocking client transformations that prove conventional diet wisdom has it all wrong.
Ready to break free from diet prison and transform your relationship with food forever? Send us a DM with the word "FREEDOM" and join thousands of women who've stopped fighting their bodies and started working with them instead.

Trigger warning: this episode includes discussion of childhood emotional eating, disordered eating patterns, and alcohol misuse, including blackout drinking. Please take care of yourself while listening.
I spent over a decade living two lives: showing up for my clients and my own fitness goals, while cycling through blackout nights, spending money I didn't have, and waking up asking myself why I kept coming back to the same pattern. The wake-up call came on New Year's Eve heading into 2022, a night that ended in a hangover so brutal it forced me to admit something had to change.
I get into what actually shifted once I got sober: better sleep, easier control over food and emotions, money I used to spend on nights out that I don't miss, and a version of myself I finally recognize as consistent instead of one I had to explain away. I'm not presenting this as flawless or easy. It's three years of proof that the identity I wanted was buildable, one decision at a time.
This one's for the woman questioning her relationship with alcohol and wondering if change is actually possible for her too.

Marilynn spent years letting a voice in her head convince her she was always failing, always falling short, no matter what she actually accomplished. In her first solo episode, she breaks down the science behind that voice: negativity bias, the brain's tendency to hold onto bad experiences the way Velcro holds onto lint while good ones slide off like a nonstick pan, and why that wiring made sense for your ancestors dodging predators and makes zero sense when applied to missing one workout.
She walks through five specific strategies: catching the thought before it spirals, reframing it into something you'd actually believe, keeping a wins journal to retrain what your brain looks for, practicing the kind of self-talk you'd use with a friend (including the therapy exercise that changed how she talks to herself for good), and zooming out to see one misstep as a moment instead of proof you've failed.
This one's for the woman whose inner critic runs the show more than she'd like to admit.

Coach Jordanna went on her first diet at 12 and spent three decades letting a number decide whether her day was good or bad. In this solo episode, she talks about the moment that changed it: renting a sledgehammer and smashing a dozen scales during a photo shoot, and what she started tracking instead.
She breaks down what actually counts as progress when you stop weighing yourself constantly: physical changes like how clothes fit, performance wins like running up the stairs without getting winded, and internal shifts like sleep, energy, and confidence getting dressed. She also walks through the practical side: how often to step on a scale (if you use one at all), tracking habits instead of numbers, and keeping a running list of wins that have nothing to do with weight.
This one's for the woman who's let a number decide her mood one too many times.

You're doing everything right- tracking food, showing up for workouts- and the scale still won't move, but what's running the show is stress your body hasn't let go of yet. Marilynn sits down with Kristine Rafanan, a former personal trainer turned breathwork practitioner, who spent years pushing through burnout before her body forced her to stop: chronic neck tension no massage could touch, skin breakouts, restless nights, and a cycle of emotional eating she carried through most of her fitness career.
Kristine walks through what changed once she started working with her breath instead of around it: fewer anxiety spikes, better sleep, and the ability to catch herself mid-spiral instead of reaching for food to shut the feeling down. She breaks down a few accessible starting points, including box breathing, and why the physical results a lot of women chase tend to show up once the stress underneath them finally has somewhere to go.
