Members Reviews:

She has too many issues

Altgough it ended nicely as expected, all of this woman body issues were almost too much to take for so long. I understand injecting reality into the novel, but this went on too long for what should have been the more light-hearted romance. and also almost too much of the story came from the sisters point of view

susie and Claire were really disappointing

they were real hypocrites, immature and truly irritating. after all they've been thru you would think they would be better than they are

Good, but not the best

Any additional comments?

I have read all the books in this series and seriously loved them. This one was good but to tell the truth the character of Beth really annoyed me at first. she improved with the story but man she was a real bitch at first. I liked Nick a lot, hard not to with that personality. But I did fell that he should have seriously toke a stronger stand with her. Because, really, NO man in his right mind would have put up with the crap she put him through in the very beginning. get real.

If you could sum up Fall for Me in three words, what would they be?

fun ,captive ,sweet

What about Allyson Ryans performance did you like?

love her very excellent reader

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Any additional comments?

hoeing writer with take us further with this group

Horrible lead character

Where does Fall for Me rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

The story was horrible. The main character was weak, whiny and the most annoying poor pity me I've ever heard in my life. I kept praying she would get hit by a bus or something to move the story along. I'm to fat, nobody likes me. Poor me. Everyone hates me. This went on the ENTIRE book. Seriously never hated someone so much in my life.

What about Allyson Ryans performance did you like?

Considering the wide range of characters in the entire series she had to portray, I'm rather impressed.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I'm sorry but there is no person in their right mind that would make this story into a film. It's a 2 hour pity party, barely worthy to have been made into a book. The main character was beyond annoying.

Members Reviews:

Not Bad, Not Great!

Claire was working two jobs to support herself and her ailing mother. When her boss asks her to work a couple of weekends with him it throws a monkey wrench in her second job. You see Claire works for a pleasure party company, meaning she jumps out of cakes at bachelor parties, in a skimpy outfit.

Jason, whom Claire has worked for, for several years, is suddenly aware of her as a woman, and begins to manage her life the way he thinks it should be, and this causes a lot of fireworks.

This is a cute, mushy, a lil over the top romance book. Simply put a happily ever after book.

The Narrator drove me nuts, I think I have run across so many mediocre narrators lately that I am becoming immune. Listen to the sample before you purchase. The book isnt bad, if you need a light fluffy read then get this one.

Rescue me!

Would you try another book from Sydney Landon and/or Allyson Ryan?

yes but maybe not back to back like I would normally do.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Now the narrartor while she has a sweet soothing calming voice which is great but not great for a book of this nature. Maybe a zin/self help book? And lord this woman talks so freakin slow. What's up with that? I had to speed her up and you can really tell how slow she talks when you speed her all the way up and she finally sounds like she is talking at a regular speed.

Any additional comments?

She woman, he man, she in trouble, he wants to rescue her from all her problems. ( hence the title for my review) This is almost a sickly sweet mush romance book. I found myself saying really?! No man talks like this.....

The story started off strong but once the h&h got together it became that sickly sweet mushy lovey dovey * rolls my eyes*

Loved Claires best friend, she made me laugh threw out the book and I will be getting the next one in the series just to see if she holds her fire in her own book that she had in this one. Over all it was a good book, I assume this is a new arthor ( at least for me it was) she has alot of promise in her cant wait to see what she writes in the future.

Funny, witty and clever

I usually read a lot of historical romance but since there was a 4.95 sale, I ended up buying a few books off of the romance list and this was one of them. Though not a huge fan of modern romance, I actually really enjoyed this book.

Title: The Trustworthy Redhead

Ratings: 3.5 of 5 out of 92 votes

She cannot even imagine falling for the billionaire - until she does.

Members Reviews:

An old romance gets new life.

Before Iris Johansen began her Eve Duncan novels of romantic suspense, she wrote a number of series romance novels in the mid 1980's for the Loveswept imprint. The Trustworthy Redhead is one of her 15 or so Loveswept stories set in the Kindgom of Sedikan. Each story introduces a set of characters who will then be added to the next story so that the reader can follow the interconnected families and stories. This story was early in the series (#3 I think) and introduces the leader of Sedikan, Alex Ben Rashid.

This is an old school "sweet" series romance. Not exactly Barbara Cartland, but definetly not Karen Marie Moning, JR Ward or even today's Iris Johansen. The storyline is fairly predictible, opposites attract, the men are alpha males, there are disagreements between the couple, and then the main characters realize their mistakes. Definetly not politically correct or a modern romance.

Other books later in the Sedikan series are offered by Audible with different narrators, to varying degrees of success according to the performance reviews. The change to Elisabeth Rodgers is a welcome addition to the series.

If you want a short, traditional 1980's series romance, this is a good story, well written and an interesting beginning to the series

A corny romance.

Where does The Trustworthy Redhead rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

I rate it 8 out of 10.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Trustworthy Redhead?

The first time they made love.

Which scene was your favorite?

At the rodeo when David made a scene and when the rodeo was over and Sabrina learned she was being watched.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Billionaire and the belly dancer.

Any additional comments?

I enjoy romances like these. Reminds me of Harlequin romances from the 80's.

Infuriating!

Any additional comments?

This book was appalling! Iris Johansen has been a favorite of mine for years, but this book was disappointing. The male character is more like a stalker. The main character is put off by his threatening, controlling behavior, but the next minute she is swooning in his arms. There is nothing appealing about the guy's attitude.
