Amazingly intense and touching story however it has potential triggers involving ALL kinds of abuse

ARC Review

I hate to give a lot of story details but I feel it necessary in this case to warn those who are triggered by sexual and physical abuse. So know that spoilers are coming. My heart raced the entire length of this novella and it is a tribute to Ms. Kitts wonderful writing that she can spin the story so beautifully that it feels like you are experiencing these horrors along with the characters. Still I was biting my nails in anxiety for most of this book!

SPOILERS Ahead for those who may need to know about the trigger issues:Ginny and her older sister were abused by her stepfather. Her older sister is married with two kids, but her husband left her with nothing and they are living in a shelter in another city. Ginny escapes from her stepfather who is a police man and is hiding in the other city, living on the streets and eating whatever she can find. She thinks some PI is following her, when it actually was someone she had known in school. He is a police man, too, and she is trying to avoid him since she thinks he will return her to her stepfather. She has a tape of her stepfather killing someone and then raping her and he wants to get it. Finally she is abducted, raped and almost killed by her step father, his father, and her sister's husband. Her friend police man finally tracks her down, kills them and they finally get their HEA. I enjoy all the books form this author and look forward to her next one.

Great Story

Recently graduated from high school Ginny is living on the streets hiding from the danger chasing her due to a secret she knows. Her sister is also hiding but she's trying to get enough money to get a home for her and her kids so they can be out of the shelter before the holidays. Ginny has been living from whatever she finds in dumpster and the kindness of strangers. Then one night she spots a guy in the alley with her and she takes off. She thought she had gotten away however she sees the same guy at another locations she goes to. Nick can't believe it when he sees Ginny living on the streets and wants to help her but knows he has to ease into it because she frightened about something. One day Nick takes a chance and introduces himself to her and offers her some help. Ginny is afraid to trust anyone let alone Nick and she tries to avoid running into him again. Will Nick be able to help Ginny? What is the danger the Ginny is hiding from?

This was an amazing story I couldn't stop turning the pages to find out what was going on with Ginny. I felt really bad for what happened to Ginny and her sister no one should have to go through what they did. Nick is an amazing guy good to the core and helps even when it costs him something.

Unfortunately No Place Like You did not live up to my expectations and I was disappointed.

The prodigal son returns home in Emma Douglasâ No Place Like Home, the third book in her Cloud Bay series. After ditching his sister and their combined musical career when his late father got ill for another band, not showing up for a show with his new band at the familyâs big music festival last year, and basically ignoring his family for years Zach Harper is returning home to lick his wounds after the lead singer of his new band decides to take a year off. Zach has plans to start a solo album, but knows that making amends to those he left behind will also come with his return. While he expects to have to grovel to his family, what he doesnât expect is to mess up repeatedly with his sisterâs best friend, and the girl he left behind years ago whose help he needs with his new album.

If I didnât like the characters in these books so much Iâm not sure I would keep reading this series because there seems to be some continuity issues with the books and manufactured drama is getting old. Iâm going to address those issues first; in the first two books the townâs mayor, Angie, seemed to have it out for the Harper family at every turn and yet in this book she is never mentioned which I found to be ridiculous. Yes, she was somewhat put in her place in the last book, but to be completely missing in this one especially with the Cloud Fest musical festival on the horizon just seemed strange.

A treasure not to be missed!

The holidays should be a time of family togetherness and joy. For Kelly and Tyler, it's anything but. A Pet for Christmas takes up where A Father for Christmas ended. Kelly, Bree and Tyler are on the verge of becoming a family, until circumstances throw a monkey wrench in their plans. It will take a Christmas miracle, a leap of faith and love's unending strength to guide this almost family to their happily ever after. Ms. Ayala is an emotional writer. She seeks out the heart and speaks directly to the vulnerability that makes us human. Getting to read her wise words is always a pleasureable experience, but what I enjoy most is when the characters come alive. Elizabeth Klett adds to that realism with animated vocal range. Getting to experience the two together is a treasure not to be missed.

Tugs at your heartstrings!

Rachelle Ayala is a pro at drawing awareness to conditions many face in our world today through her engaging stories. In A Pet for Christmas: A Veteran's Christmas, Book 2 (sequel to A Father for Christmas: A Veteran's Christmas, Book 1), we have the pleasure of seeing where life has taken Kelly, Tyler, and 5-year old Bree. I really enjoyed continuing their story because I felt like I really got to know these loveable characters in Book 1. Ayala's story helps you learn about PTSD and how it affects all involved. She speaks to the heart, puts you in the characters' shoes, and has you rooting for all of them through to the last page!

The narration by Elizabeth Klett is wonderful. She does a fantastic job with each character's voice, especially little Bree! Her volume, pace, and gentle story-telling manner make this book one worth listening. I love audiobooks, so I may be a bit biased, but I feel that the narration adds so much to the story...Ayala and Klett are a great team!

I rate this audiobook 5/5 stars across the board. As I stated before, it is so much more than just a sweet story about a couple in love. It draws awareness to PTSD, a condition that many in our world deal with daily in various forms.

Five Deliciously Dirty Talking Stars

This book...this series...WOW! Thank you K. I. Lynn for giving us Nathan and Lila. I love the Breach Series! Read this book in a matter of hours and went through a RANGE of emotions. Nathan Thorne my forever Dirty Talker...The Original. Lynn did a fantastic job of wrapping up the series {I am sad it's over...I may need therapy lol} and answering all the questions left open from Infraction. The character development of Lila and Nathan was outstanding.You really saw Lila become a stronger person, and Nathan became a little more lighthearted ( I immensely enjoyed "Funny Nathan"). They grew together as a couple, never losing their deep passion. The final dialogue of the book will stay with me forever...simply poetic and fantastically Lila and Nathan. Bravo!

Excellent Series Conclusion

Nathan and Lila's journey comes to a conclusion in this book. This couple has endured life threatening hardships while falling deeper in love daily. Lila finally faces an old enemy and triumphs over him despite the paralyzing fear she has when facing him. Nathan's past comes back to haunt him and once again threatens the woman he loves more than his life.

This series is packed with danger, emotional and psychological events and the development of a deep abiding love between two seriously damaged people.

5 Dirty Talker and Honeybear Stars

Nathan and Lila are such a unique couple whose lives have been affected by so much pain and tragedy and this final book concludes their story but in usual style not without putting you through some really heart stopping moments along the way.

This book is told in dual POV with the first half and last few chapter from Lila and the second half from Nathan. I am a huge fan of dual POV and this worked really well

We see Nathan and Lila in a couple of really beautiful moments where they are free of their demons past and present and are just so happy in the moment it warmed by heart. But then there were the other moments too, where their codependent relationship hit a new high because of all the external elements trying to ruin them. I could feel their desperation and anxiety when they weren't with each other and all I wanted to do was to take away all their pain and fear so they could just be happy.

A way to forget the demons and problems even if only momentarily was in each other's arms, and our 'dirty talker' and Honeybear didn't disappoint in the ways and places they had sex. But overall their love for each other was beautiful and knew no boundaries.

Goodbye Mr and Mrs Thorne, I wish you both every happiness because if anyone deserves it- you two do.

Look no further.

I went into this story knowing it was going to be the last of Nathan and Delilah. I wasn't ready to say goodbye and frankly I'm still not. The story that this third tale tells is something that no simple review can perfectly describe.

Excellent Book!!!

This book by Leslie North was extremely well written. I loved the characters and how the author tied the other books in the series into it. This is a standalone listen. The Solomon Brothers are not related by blood, but friendship and being raised together. I loved how Leslie North used the imagery of Bridges in this book. Some are to be crossed while others burned is such a true phrase. I had read the book before listening to it and had fallen in love with the story. I was given this book as a gift and have voluntarily written this review. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. Regarding the performance of the narrator, she fell short of my expectations. I felt like she was missing the emotional connection to the characters that I wanted.

Surprising, Likeable, Interesting

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how the characters were all about helping the kids in their area. It was a story that was not just all about the main characters.

What about Rebecca Robertss performance did you like?

I liked listening to her read to me. I did however have to get past the point of trying to picture her as Maggie. Her voice just didn't give me a clear picture of what Maggie would look like. Not all narrators give you that clear picture but then you go back and re-listen and realize that it's the story that's important here.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did want to listen to it in one sitting. You get so involved in what's going on that you get frustrated when you have to stop and go on to other things. But then you look forward to the next time you pick it up again. One thing I love about my car is that I can plug my iPod into the car system and listen to the book through the radio. I very rarely listen to music any more.

Widower and Adventurer find Love despite the fact they don't want to

It's love at first sight, and then the Hero meets the Heroine. Seriously, who cannot fall in love with a cherry red 1966 Mustang. There is a Meet Cute in "The Three Week Arrangement" but it's between the Hero and the Heroine's batty old neighbor lady and her spray hose. Sarah Ballance always ... Always knows how to start a book rocketing off the Launch Pad! The Hero, Ethan, is a widower of three years still in love with his wife and haunted by the memories of her. The Heroine, Rue, is a rebellious adventurer enjoying her life and having already had more experiences than ten people would in their lifetime. The Three Week Arrangement" is the third installment of the Chase Brothers series, which I love so much. This book does not have overly descriptive spicy sex scenes but there is a lot of emotional depth there. Ethan is deeply entrenched in the memories of his wife that has his feelings for Rue seriously messing with his mind. Rue has had really bad experiences in her relationships with men and has dedicated her heart to her career of conservation photography. The only thing she really comes back to New York for is the home she bought that once belonged to her grandparents - not any person. But Ethan and Rue are surprises to each one another and although their relationship begins as a convenient, short term, solution - which is all they want and need - it grows into something almost too big for them to handle. But life is full of surprises and happy endings.

"The Three Week Arrangement" seemed to take place within a small area of New York, with one detour to New Jersey. The action is focused mainly on Ethan and Rue and a few scenes involving the Chase boys and Mrs. Chase. Rue is fabulous - she is energetic, outgoing, and just plain fun. Ethan is amusing in his discomfort ... his fish out of water - deer in the headlights - what am I supposed to do now - moments are priceless. When he lets go he's on, especially "Caveman Ethan". When he shuts down - he's out. At the end of the novel Sarah Ballance leaves you with a big ol' grin on your face.

Team Eva!

Strong, independent and fierce Eva Jennings wakes up next to Lane Broadmoor a living Adonis. Its a shame she cant remember how she got there. Eva is determined to disappear from her one night stand the minute she gets a chance. Lane is just as determined to keep her safe, but from what?

This story is different. Evas character is smart and assertive and Lane is a just as smart and a sweetheart to boot. Lanes character is sexually naive, but I found that a refreshing change from the norm in the romance genre. Together Eva and Lane make an awesome team as they try to solve the mystery of who drugged her and why.

E is for Eva is narrated by Meghan Kelly and she does a wonderful job on this fully voiced production. She has a raspy voice which works well with Evas no nonsense attitude.

If you like your heroine strong and sassy with a heart of gold, this audiobook is for you!

a very entertaining book

the first chapter or two were a little strange you had to keep going and it got great. the plot and story was fabulous. I really got lost in it. I would love to get the next books in the series. I really liked Eva.

the narration was fabulous, she did a great job with the different voices and emotions. I would recommend this book to others who like the hot sexy romances!

You will be HOOKED

the narrator draws you in with her sensual voice, to a story intertwined with strong women, suspense , and passion. Well developed characters make this a MUST read. I am looking forward to the rest of the series on audio!

Unusual Contemporary Romance

The story started off a bit strange to me. Eva sort of wakes up and realizes she is in a strange house with some guy that she has never met! So she cannot recall much from the past few days and feels a bit foggy and the first thing that crosses her mind is that she needs to have sex with the unknown man who possibly could have kidnaped or even drugged her! She has no clue who he is!!! Eva tries to sneak off after basically jumping him while he was sleeping and having her way with him...

Narration was well done and brought the story to life.

The first few chapters were not my favorite but I did enjoy going back and forth into her past and getting to know Eva, her family and friends. The story is fairly good after the random and numerous sexcapades throughout their first day together.

I really enjoyed the story as it develops and I learned more about what was going on and their deadline to find someone. Overall a good story and characters.
