    Title: Love Yourself
Subtitle: The Secret Key to Transforming Your Life
    Author: Embrosewyn Tazkuvel
    Narrator: John Eastman
    Format: Unabridged
    Length: 39 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 12-13-13
    Publisher: Kaleidoscope Publications
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 64 votes
    Genres: Self Development, How-To
    Publisher's Summary:
Loving yourself is all about energy. As humans we devote a great deal of our energy through our time, thoughts and emotions to love. We read about it, watch movies and shows about it, dream about it, hope for it to bless our lives, feel like something critically important is lacking when it doesn't, and at the very least keep a sharp eye out for it when its missing.
Too often we look to someone else to fulfill our love and crash and burn when relationships end, or fail to live up to our fantasies of what we thought they should be. When we seek love from another person or source greater than the love we give to ourselves, we set ourselves up to an inevitable hard landing when the other person or source ceases to provide the level of fulfillment we desire.
Loving yourself is a precious gift from you to you. It is an incredibly powerful energy that not only enhances your ability to give love more fully to others, it also creates a positive energy of expanding reverberation that brings more love, friendship and appreciation to you from all directions. It is the inner light that illuminates your life empowering you to create the kind of life you desire and dream.

    Uplifting
If you could sum up Love Yourself in three words, what would they be?
    Thought provoking, motivational, inspirational
What was one of the most memorable moments of Love Yourself?
You wont find love in others if you can't find it in yourself
Have you listened to any of John Eastmans other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have never listened to an audiobook before but he narrator was good and I would listen to another that he narrated.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
it vaidated what I already believed.
    Any additional comments?
I feel to many people look for love and self worth in the eyes of others. How can they give you what you can not give yourself? This book takes a step by step approach to showing you how to make a difference in your life, how to love yourself before you can love others.
Blueprint to a Happy and Satsfying Life
Would you consider the audio edition of Love Yourself to be better than the print version?
This question is not applicable as I only listened to the audio.
What did you like best about this story?
It captured my interest as a whole, although the first 17 minutes was the most powerful. In part of that, the narrator was speaking about a project they did. He said only 1/3 of the people could look themselves in the mirror and in a sincere and grateful way, say "I Love You." Sadly, I'm in that 2/3 group that feels very uncomfortable doing that. In those 17 minutes he really drove home the message of why it's important to love yourself, and how a lack of love for yourself can influence your entire life. When I was growing up I used to hear that a lot. "You gotta love yourself!" That always seemed so vague. I've always been critical of myself. Just telling someone they should love themself doesn't always help. How do you love yourself? This was a great audio because it explains how. It's following the exercise given and listening on a regular basis to the 88 reasons in the latter part of the recording. That's why I gave this review the title of Blueprint to a Happy and Satsfying Life.

  • How to Sweet-Talk a Shark Audiobook by Bill Richardson, Kevin Bleyer

Title: How to Sweet-Talk a Shark
Subtitle: Strategies and Stories from a Master Negotiator
    Author: Bill Richardson, Kevin Bleyer
    Narrator: Clinton Wade
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 6 hrs and 55 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 10-15-13
    Publisher: Audible Studios
Ratings: 3.5 of 5 out of 60 votes
    Genres: Self Development, How-To
    Publisher's Summary:
Sharks are not evil. But they're single minded and very, very hungry. On land, they take the form of bosses, businesspeople, colleagues, family, and sociopathic neighbors. In the world of former governor of New Mexico and US ambassador to the United Nations Bill Richardson, they have taken the form of the most powerful people in the world.
He's engaged in high-stakes, face-to-face negotiations with Castro, Saddam, the Taliban, two generations of North Korean leadership, and many more of the world's most infamous dictators - and done it so well he was known as the "Undersecretary of Thugs" while with the Clinton administration. Now the 5-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee tells these stories - from Washington, DC, to the Middle East to Pyongyang - in all their intense and sometimes absurd glory.
How to Sweet-Talk a Shark is a rare, candid, and entertaining glimpse into an insider's world of high-stakes negotiation - showing Richardson's successes and failures in some of the world's least friendly places. Meanwhile, listeners get frank lessons in the art of negotiation: how to prepare, how to size up your opponent, how to understand the nature of power in a standoff, how to give up only what is necessary while getting what you want, and many other strategies Richardson has mastered through at-the-table experience - and from working with other master negotiators like Presidents Obama and Clinton, and Nelson Mandela. These are takeaways that anyone can use to negotiate with the power brokers, deal makers, and, yes, the hungry sharks in their own lives.

US Politicians life story. I'm not from USA
Bought this audio book to brush up on Negotiating skills. Did not help that much.
Great stories about how Richardson sweet talked some sharks.
Great stories about the politics of world affairs. This book gives great insight into what goes on in the world behind the scenes of keeping the world safe and getting things done. I do not agree with Governor Richardson's view about the access of information collected by the NSA, but I loved how truly honest he was in this book about his success and failure as a political negotiator during his years in public service. Bill Richardson's ability to weave a story and make some of the most ruthless men in world history seem almost likable is fascinating.
I wish that the book was truer to its name and helped the reader sweet talk sharks or at least be able to better negotiate with people. Would have been nice to have a list of bullet points to go along with the stories.
Interesting stories, but no real lessons taught
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No.. It is filled with interesting stories, but if you're trying to improve your negotiation skills, this is not the book for you, despite the billing. It's just not going to make you a better negotiator. The "lessons" in strategy are largely completely implicit, if anything at all, and very rarely does the author actual explicitly state "do this" or "don't do this".

    Editorial Reviews:
"Everything You Know About Calories Is Wrong", by Rob Dunn, is an article from the September 2013 issue of Scientific American, which posits that digestion is far too complex a process to be reduced to an exact number. Narrator Mark Morans welcoming tone is a perfect match for Dunns intelligently written and entertaining piece that touches on how the evolution of plants and humans, industrial food processing, and the way meals are prepared all play crucial factors in the way we digest our calories.

    Narrator: Erin Coker
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 4 hrs and 22 mins

    Release date: 07-01-13
    Publisher: Berrett-Koehler Publishers
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 12 votes
    Genres: Self Development, How-To
    Publisher's Summary:
In the Western world, the yoga practice associated with doing poses on a mat benefits millions of devotees every day. Yet few people realize that the physical practice is rooted in a larger philosophy offering profound insights that can help people confront the complexities of daily life, especially at work.
Maren and Jamie Showkeir's unprecedented book brings into crisp focus the full range of yoga's rich, transformational benefits. Based on the traditional Eight Limbs of Yoga (the postures, or asanas, are only one limb), it offers straightforward, practical suggestions on how to integrate yoga's ancient philosophy and beautiful spiritual principles into the modern workplace.
The Showkeirs know firsthand how yoga's wisdom can make work-and life-more rewarding and worthwhile. They explain each of yoga's tenets and show how a broad, steadfast practice leads to a productive, creative, and energizing work environment. The book offers illuminating stories from people in professions such as banking, law enforcement, film directing, education, and more. These living examples illustrate how yoga's teachings reduce stress and increase meaning and satisfaction at work.
The Showkeirs believe passionately that a physical practice alone will barely scratch the surface of yoga's transformative powers. Much more than a simple how-to book, Yoga Wisdom at Work is an invitation to use the Eight Limbs to cultivate the spark of the divine that dwells within each of us. Yoga's precepts offer you the keys for staying centered, compassionate, positive, and sane every hour of the day-including from nine to five.

    It's all about the Process
Sharing of practicing the eight legs of yoga on how it relates to our every day lives including the workplace. I am also yoga practitioner who is very interested in helping those interested companies manage their transformation using these yogic principles in an agile methodology specifically for project management where there is much needed guidance. Namaste!
    My first Yoga book
I like it. I am new in the Yoga world and I am taking 4 classes a week but I got to the point that I wanted to know a little bit more about this practice. This book explains you where is Yoga from and talks about how to apply our Yoga practice into our daily life. I do recommend it if you are starting your path in the Yoga world
    Mispronunciation detracts from content
This book has a lot of value but the narration was terrible. Satya has to win over here and I need to say that Please Audible get someone who knows how to pronounce the Sanskrit to assist the narrator with so many of the important words in this book.! It sadly becomes annoying hearing the mispronunciation time and time again and detracts from the listening experience and takes away from the quality of the contents, which are excellent.
    narration is hard to handle
What made the experience of listening to Yoga Wisdom at Work the most enjoyable?
This book contains a lot of Sanskrit terms and it was obvious the narrator had never heard of them and was not given a pronunciation guide.

Your guide to DIY time travel.
First, Dr. Quantum is a masterful stroke of marketing from the What the Bleep movie series. T hat being said, the book is an extension of the movies. So if it had been written by Michael Kaku or Neil De Grasse Tyson, it would be a nuts and bolts book on what time is and how it operates. Since it was written by Fred Alan Wolfe, it is more aimed at the reader & how the reader interacts with time, and not on time, per se. It is aimed at using intention and has a more metaphysical feel to it, that you saw in the What the Bleep movies. It is a good book, not a great book, but a good book. How good? How much did you like the movies?
    Excellent book.
Thank you so much for sharing these ideas! I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end.
Where is the cool device I need to build?
He Speaks too fast, for a non physicist or Southern listener! I suspect he loves teaching!
