Great childrens book

I love this book! Everyone with small children should have this book in their personal libraries! Very enjoyable to read.

do you believe in fairies?

this an amazing children's book. Its perfect for a young reader eager to branch out into chapter books or readers struggling to get into chapter books, its a great medium I think, which really says something about how well its written and how much thought was put into the target audience.. Also, it would be a great a bed time story to be told over a few days. It has such a fantastic message written really well- it has a real story, with actual characters! and has so many wonderful pictures through out. So if you are a parent and youre reading this to your kid, its should be just as fun for them as it is for you, which should be a HUGE bonus I think. So, yeah, it is a 'childrens book' thats who the target audience is, thats what its meant for, BUT it can easily be enjoyed by anyone of any age.

An interesting thing about this book, is that while it is a 'fairy book' the main human character is a boy and there are boy fairies too! This is important I think for boys who might really want to but would also be too embarrassed to try and read and identify with a 'fairy book' and its message because usually children's books with fairies seem marketed exclusively for girls. However, that being said, its also not JUST for boys, the story and art are appropriate for ANY gender and that's fantastic. No one, especially a kid should feel embarrassed by or excluded from their interests.

Its also worth mentioning that these fairies are more 'nature spirit' than sparkly-rainbow-tinkerbell-y-sugar fairy like whats usually put in childrens books, so dont go in looking for that. they're still sprite-ly and cute and fun of course, but they feel more like a real society of real people that could really exist in our world right now...

The story is a breezy and whimsical read to be enjoyed by children

Golden Ghost Removal Service is a magical tale surrounding a young girl named Tora Jane who works for her father's ghost removal service business. Tora works alongside her father as they encounter unique and fantastical adventures which include the likes of ghosts, vampires and even one very sassy pixie. As the reader slowly eases into the book, the story begins to magically and vividly unfold in the imagination. It's as if you're on the scene with Tora and her father, witnessing what they do best-remove ghosts and other uninvited, unwelcome "guests" who wreak havoc on their clients and or their homes. The story is a breezy and whimsical read to be enjoyed by children, teens and adults. Well written and imaginative.

Saving the Upworld can be treacherous

Jocker should have known that his curious stubborn little sister Bivy would get them into trouble. Such is the life of an older brother. In fairness to Bivy the thunderstorm was the one to blame for knocking both Jocker and his sister out of their nest. So begins the perilous journey of the two young Cardinals. In their nest high above the ground they'd heard of the scary cat and knew that 'Giants' lived in the big house. But who would have known that rats and spiders had names AND could talk. Or that they would face the infamous Ant Queen who knew all about the 'Laws of Nature'-- laws that did not seem to bode well for the little birds in their current predicament. This is a tale that will delight children and adults alike. The dialogue is clever, the characters are charming, and the situation calls for wisdom and heroism. Thank goodness for Jocker and Bivy. A great start to what is sure to be an engaging series. Read and enjoy!

clever and imaginative character perspective complements the storytelling

A clever and imaginative character perspective complements the storytelling and introduces readers to Jocker and Bivy: two young and adventurous cardinals. When they have decided to save their home by eliminating the carpenter ant queen, they meet several different creatures, and must learn to reason, befriend and persevere to complete their task.

While there are some scary moments, there is nothing that isn't quickly and happily resolved for the main characters, so sleepless nights aren't an issue. Additionally - both of the books in the series that I have read are simple to read - perfect for new `chapter readers'. It was a clever little story, showing the importance of making friends, being brave and standing with your friends and family.

Beautifully written and lots of fun

A bird falling from its nest triggers a compelling tale of nature and reciprocity as brother and sister cardinals leave the treetops to deal with life on the ground in a land of âgiantsâ and face the army ants threatening to destroy their world. It had me hooked and rooting all the way for the little critters. This book is beautifully written and has a lyrical quality fitting for a classic fable. Fun for kids and for grownups seeking to rekindle a bit of lifeâs innocent magic through a story filled with simple wondrous charm.

The kids love it the bird we're the best and all the trouble the sister got in to .but her brother was all ways there to help her out of it . And all the others animal and the cat that they ran into .

This is cute little adventure story.

It's hard being 9 yrs old.Jack is having a rough day. He's been in trouble at school. Then is in trouble at home for hiding his sisters doll

Jack and his family visit a consignment store where Jack falls asleep in a ugly bean chair. After Jack falls asleep he finds himself in a weird furniture "graveyard" with some interesting furniture characters like the tiger ottoman, secretary desk, murphy bed all while trying to find his way back to his parents .My grandsons laughed at the story every time his sisters doll was mentioned.

They liked Jacks adventure up until the laughter. They did not like the voice that was used for the laughter. They thought it was creepy (7yr old) and scary(5yr old), they were enjoying the story until that point. Then they asked to read it from that point. They are a little under the target age listed for the book.

.Richard Rienman did a good job with the narration and the voices of the characters.. He did a good job with Jacks emotions and fears throughout the story.

This Was Sooo Cute

"Jack and the Bean Chair" was such a cute story. I loved every minute of it and can't wait for my grandchildren to hear it. It was engaging with the laughter as well as the story. Laughing is contagious too. I would definitely recommend scooping this one up. Julie Griffin gets it and writes wonderfully.

Richard Reiman did an outstanding job narrating this awesome story. his voice is just right. He had perfect inflections that kids will enjoy and his laugh is AMAZING!
