Resonating

This book has taken me up and down on a rollercoaster as I recall my own experiences. It tapped at issues Id forgotten (awful as they may be) and has given me a feeling of Im not the only one with my own alcohol issues.

I may have the strength to speak about things now, however small country towns and AA are not always compatible! I was glad to hear of other options.

I have been going through a rough time in my life dealing with grief. Reading "Coming Into Balance" Page 33 Skillful means I read When did change become your enemy? Why do you fight? What you fight against you strengthen, what you resist, persist. I am going through grief and found these words very powerful. I am finding this book is full of very deep Skillful Means that really speak to me. There is a depth of knowledge that really helps me understand many things in my life. The advantage of the audio is the ability for the narrator/author to emphasize certain passages.

I have listened. I think they were both more comfortable with this book for obvious reasons.

This is so much more than a typical "self help" genre book.

disappointing

Not at all what I expected from the reviews I read. Reviews did not describe We as a whiney, self-help book. I was expecting something dynamic .. this was not. If I had gotten the book from the library, it would have gone back after the first disc, if I made it through the first disc. Since I got it through a gift subscription, I felt compelled to finish it ... but just could not make it through the last 50 minutes, when any semblance of organization broke down, and the droning voices pretty much just preached. The positive take away for me ... My childhood was not, and my life is not, as dysfunctional as some people's. Or maybe I can move beyond the negatives and get on with life without being told I need to.

So much better than the full version audiobook!

This summary has been invaluable to me. I was not able to get through the audiobook read by Eckhart Tolle himself. It was almost painful to me how desperate I was for this information yet I could not make myself cope with how he would take long pauses, long breaths, and laugh for long periods of time. I'm just not that zen yet? This book was very well summarised. It left nothing of value out from the original. So much better than the other summaries! I'm so so grateful for this version!!!

Inspiring

This book is inspiring . It will open your eyes to the power God has given each of us. He has given our thoughts the power to make our lives better by changing our thoughts.

Engrossing

I found Roberts story of his life and his NDE to be well considered and engrossing. Many people find it hard to believe that there is life after death. I find it hard to believe that there wouldn't be.

As for listening, the voice reading the book is soothing and calm which makes it a pleasant experience.

I recommend this book for people who are exploring the possibility of their own life beyond mortality.
