Today Jess & Hil talk about making friends as an adult. We all know this can be a major challenge NEVERMIND a full year of quarantine and not being able to be around other people. It can be lonely and frustrating.

We have both uprooted ourselves and moved to new cities and managed to find "our people" and we did it in a variety of different ways. From putting ourselves out there on BumbleBFF, to going to the same workout class all the time, to volunteering with local businesses to finding niche groups on facebook or meetup to just saying hi to a neighbor. We chat about our experiences that worked and didn't work and would love to hear what others have done to make friends when they are not built in by school or work or someone you grew up next door to.

Today we speak with Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Midwife, Karyn Blanchard. Not only does she provide professional medical expertise on the subject, she has personally gone through fertility issues and wants to share her insight, compassion, empathy and knowledge with the world.

Today Jess & Hil talk about getting your shit together by taking care of yourself.  And this doesn't mean just getting  a massage and taking a bath (although those ARE great options). To be able to be your best self and get and keep your other shit together (home, job, kids, finances, spouses, body, and 9 million other things) you gotta take care of yourself. If that means throwing away a pair of jeans you've held onto in the hopes that they will fit again but they really make you feel like shit, GET RID OF EM! If you see someone on social media every day that makes you feel less than or upset, UNFOLLOW! If you're so tired at the end of the day that you can't even find it in you to brush your teeth or wash your face.. THAT'S FINE (or try to give yourself 5 minutes of free time to do these things!) Today we are interviewing Jessica's real life husband and also affectionately known around town as “the neighborhood husband”, Tyler Garrity.

He is known as the neighborhood husband as he has been known to be called for a variety of household issues, questions, installations, repairs, what to do when your house gets struck by lightning etc. We have both been his apprentice on a few of these jobs and have learned quite a bit from him.

We dive into how to become an electrician and the important  roles and opportunities in the trades. We discuss basic homeownership tools to have on hand and go over a few things he asks you NEVER try to do on your own.
