Influencing people means you can make them say, "Yes" to just about anything. As someone who understands the power of influence, I know just how important it is to master these principles. It's not just about who you are, it's about how you use that to build your credibility and arguments. On today's episode, I'm joined by Dr. Robert Cialdini who shares how using the right words and strategies can help you move people in your direction. Cialdini is the author behind New York Times bestselling books Influence and Pre-Suasion. These books have sold more than 7,000,000 copies in 44 different countries combined. His new book, New and Expanded Influence, recently came out where he dives into the Principle of Persuasion. Spoiler alert, he doesn't believe in tricks and schemes to persuade people. So, tune in to this episode as he shares how you can get that, "Yes" using only real and proven strategies. Up until my spiritual awakening in 2012, I was always very skeptical and close-minded. I was definitely one of those people who needed a spooky, yet real, proof to shake me awake. As I practice the willing suspension of disbelief, I feel like I'm coming home. Corin Grillo joins me on today's episode, sharing how she puts herself out there to help people and how you can change your view on everything by being open to something extraordinary. When Corin finally decided to stop holding back and just be open about her belief in angels, it was fascinating to see how quickly people started lighting up. Since then, she has helped countless others, including CEOs, explore things they can't really talk about. As a licensed psychotherapist and the author of the #1 best-selling book, The Angel Experiment, she now shares her life-changing miracle to people who seek it. Tune in as she talks about how you can connect with your spiritual realm and be yourself unapologetically. A considerable part of my self-development and transformation has had to do with discovering more about my spirituality. I always believe for one to be completely healthy, all the areas of the body: the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual must all be in sync. On today's episode, I am joined by Guy Sohm, someone who's been enlightened at the early age of five. When he was younger, his mother would always say, "you can help people heal by channeling energy." Guy started doing hands-on healing, then candle meditations, and learning about chakras. An interesting fact about Guy is he lives in a treehouse made from local and recycled materials. It has six levels and every level represents a chakra. He is a tantric teacher, artist, DJ, blogger, and former festival promoter focused on personal growth and awakening. If you're looking for a podcast episode that can help you learn more about meditation and awakening, or if you just want to relate to a spiritual conversation, this episode is for you. Tune in! The human brain is a structure so amazing that a famous scientist once called it, "the most complex thing we have yet discovered in our universe." My guest today, Janet Doman, has been a pioneer in unlocking what is possible for brain-injured children with the work she has done as Director of The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential since 1980. In today's episode, Janet addresses how children get labeled with 350 different "conditions" from Cerebral Palsy, autism, developmental delays, etc., but these are all symptoms that do not address the root cause of the disorganization to the central nervous symptom. It's fascinating to learn that the brain needs stimulation and it needs opportunity—it grows by use. So without any further ado, on with a compelling episode of Get Yourself Optimized. Tune in!
