Review WWE RAW from 7/27/26

Paul Levesque & Adam Pearce hosted the weigh-in for Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar inside the Hell in a Cell cage. Femi weighed in at 302 pounds, while Lesnar refused to enter the cage for the weigh-in. Lesnar then locked the Hell in a Cell and ate the key. Femi then told Lesnar he would be locked in with him on SummerSlam. Femi then destroyed all the Police Officers.

The Vision (Bron Breakker & Austin Theory) (w/ Logan Paul & Maxxine Dupri) def. Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis).

The Vision completely laid out Alpha Academy after the match.

There was a vignette for Chad Gable ahead of his match against Penta.

Yuta tried to pull Ospreay out of the way, but Ospreay pounced Castagnoli out of the ring. Moxley then got to the ring and asked Moxley to put the bag on Omega, but Ospreay instead ripped the bag up and decked Moxley in the mouth. Ospreay & Omega posed at the end of the interaction, but Omega got Ospreay and hit the One Winged Angel. Omega & Young Bucks stood tallto end the broadcast.

GUNTHER kicked off the show, explaining why he attacked Nick Aldis, saying he was frustrated by the way he had been treated by Aldis since joining SmackDown and even called Sami Zayn a bum. Adam Pearce told GUNTHER he would have been fired if it were up to him, but Aldis pushed for the match at Saturday Night’s Main Event to go through. After that, Pearce told GUNTHER that if he & Sami Zayn defeat CM Punk & Cody Rhodes at MSG, they would be added to the WWE Title Match. Cody Rhodes then appeared and attacked GUNTHER before Pearce made the match official between the two for tonight.

Seth Rollins’ theme started playing, but it turned out to be Tyrese Halliburton. This was a trap, as Rollins attacked Reigns. Rollins went for a Stomp, but he was blocked by Brunson. Reigns then hit a Spear & a Superman Punch to end the broadcast.

The Vision (Bron Breakker & Austin Theory) (w/ Maxxine Dupri & Logan Paul) def. Je’Von Evans & Dragon Lee.

Alpha Academy tried to make the save, but they were laid out by The Vision.

The Judgment Day demanded that Danhausen to give them back the $100k they paid him to curse Oba Femi. Danhausen appeared in the ring and tried to give away money, but he was attacked by Judgment Day. Joe Hendry then made the save.

Backstage, Judgment Day threw money at Danhausen, but it ended up landing on Oba Femi. Adam Pearce then booked Oba Femi vs. JD McDonagh for now.

There was a new vignette for Big Cass.

Solo Sikoa appeared, and he called out Seth Rollins. Sikoa said he wanted to offer his help against The Bloodline, but that led to Jacob Fatu interrupting. Sikoa left, but Fatu was then caught by a thrust kick from Rollins.

Bandido confronted Kyle Fletcher backstage.

AEW International Championship Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) (w/ Lance Archer & Don Callis) def. Komander to retain the title.

Konosuke Takeshita attacked Fletcher after the match, but was blasted by Kazuchika Okada instead. Brodido then made the save.

Darby Allin told Kenny Omega that some people can’t change and said he would beat Kevin Knight next week. Jon Moxley then appeared and agreed with Allin, but then Omega asked: “Even if they tried?”

Brawling Birds cut a short promo saying that pints were on them.

Chris Jericho called out Tommaso Ciampa as “THE PAINMAKER” for AEW Redemption. Ciampa accepted Jericho’s challenge and issued an open challenge to anyone backstage for Collision.

Nick Aldis introduced CM Punk. Punk said he drove from his house to the Allstate Arena after hearing a challenger for the WWE Title was needed. Punk proceeded to call out Sami Zayn, GUNTHER, Finn Balor, Royce Keys, Damian Priest, and Trick Williams before Cody Rhodes interrupted. After some camaraderie, Rhodes challenged Punk to a match at SummerSlam, and Punk gladly accepted. Aldis then made the match official.

Carmelo Hayes called out Trick Williams & Lil Yatchy ahead of his match tonight.

Jacob Fatu & Jimmy Uso confronted Wepa Up backstage.

Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu appeared for a promo, but they were interrupted by Royce Keys. This immediately led to a match.

Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) appeared to kick off the show. Paul Heyman said he obtained a restraining order against Oba Femi to avoid any physical contact. Femi then appeared and laid out the entire Dallas Police Force and vowed to end things with Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Iyo Sky def. Roxanne Perez (w/ Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan).

Morgan, Rodriguez & Perez laid out Sky after the match. Sol Ruca tried to make the save, but she was laid out before Morgan blasted Sky with the Women’s World Championship.

The Vision (Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, Austin Theory & Maxxine Dupri) appeared for a promo, but they were immediately interrupted by Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa). Tozawa said this new attitude from Dupri was completely out of character for her. Otis tried to confess to Dupri, but Theory made fun of Otis. The Vision then laid out Alpha Academy.

There was a vignette promoting the Intercontinental Championship Gauntlet Match for later tonight.

Jimmy Uso was looking for Solo Sikoa, but was laid out by Royce Keys. Adam Pearce made an impromptu match.

Royce Keys vs. Jimmy Uso ended in a No Contest.

Jacob Fatu attacked Keys after the match before Solo Sikoa appeared. Sikoa said he would re-join The Bloodline, but he hit the Spike on Jimmy instead. LA Knight then appeared with a steel chair to make the save for Sikoa & Keys.

Paul Heyman told The Vision he was proud of their work and that they did not need him.

There was a mysterious vignette of a tall person.

Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn opens the show. He says he won the title the right way and he will always be known as a WrestleMania main eventer and WWE Champion. Cody Rhodes interrupts. Cody shakes hands with Sami and congratulates him. Jey Uso interrupts, congratulates Sami, but then fires a warning shot. Cody says Jey is running errands for Roman. Adam Pearce sets up a number one contenders bout.

Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Tiffany Stratton speak before their match.

The Baddies (Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab) def. Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, & Tiffany Stratton

Sami Zayn is not happy that he has to defend the title on Raw. Pearce says he’ll invite people from SmackDown to make it a supershow.

Carmelo Hayes interrupts Trick Williams in the ring. Lil Yachty sets up Trick vs. Carmelo next week, but the United States Title isn’t on the line. Trick slaps Carmelo, but Carmelo hits a dive as Trick and Yachty were leaving.

Sami Zayn arrives and is confronted by Cody Rhodes backstage. Sami says that Cody isn’t going to reclaim his spot and that he’ll walk out of Chicago still the champion. Cody wishes him luck and that he does think he will walk out as the champion. Gunther attacks Cody, powerbombing him through a table. Gunther says he’s coming for Sami, and then kicks the car door into Cody’s head.

Nick Aldis returns as Gunther is kicked out of the building.

WWE World Tag Team Championships: The Vision (Austin Theory & Bron Breakker) def. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) (c) to win the titles. Maxxine Dupri interfered, low blowing Dawkins to help The Vision win.

The doctor won’t clear Cody for his match. Cody says he is fine.

Liv Morgan hypes up Raquel Rodriguez, who says she will take the Women’s IC Title tonight.

A number one contender’s gauntlet for the IC Title is announced for next Monday. Penta says he is excited before being confronted by Ethan Page and Rusev. Chad Gable and Dragon Lee have Penta’s back.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Sol Ruca (c) def. Raquel Rodriguez. Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez interfered, but IYO SKY took them out.

Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi recap video.

Rusev & Ethan Page def. Dragon Lee & Chad Gable

Rusev puts Gable in the Accolade. Joe Hendry makes the save, but Rusev and Page take him out.
