Mike Bragg is a man you can trust. He'll fix your car up right. He might even drive it home himself, just to make sure it's running exactly the way he thinks it should before you get it back. But when he accidentally runs over a small brown rabbit on his way home from work one day, Mike chalks up the incident as just another insignificant rodent casualty.
"Too many of them hoppers anyway," he reasons. And maybe he's right, because that very afternoon dozens of them begin to crowd outside the door of Mike's humble abode.
    Watching. Waiting.
    Plotting?
Hoppers is a short tale of dark comic horror from the mind of Isaac Thorne, a nice man who simply wants to provide you with a few fun frights. Fast-paced and packed with edge-of-your-seat moments, Hoppers is a story that might make you wary about what darts out in front of your speeding car on a given afternoon. Better to put that smart phone down and keep your eyes on the road than try to survive the vengeful roadkill vendetta of the Hoppers.

    Fluffy, murderous little bunnies
Just bought this today because I saw it recommended on Twitter, and it's a fun little story. Graphic violence, so not good to read to the kids, but well-paced, and I like the author's sense of humor. I feel like there could have been a little bit more to it, but overall, it was an enjoyable read.
    Twisted!
I was jealous the minute I started reading! I wished I had thought of it first- -his had to be a lot of fun to write. Isaac Thorne has a unique style to match his bizarre tales. This one is fast, twisted, and keeps you involved, wondering what the next paragraph has in store. Of his stories I have read, this is my favorite.
    Awesome!
This story was hysterical. I raise rabbits and this story gave me the biggest smile all day. I loved it!!

There are monsters in this world.
They look like us. They behave like us. They even have dreams and ambitions like us. But they are not us.
At least, we do not like to think so.
Sometimes, as is the case with traveling family man Reed Reese, we are confronted by these monsters. Usually when we are most vulnerable. They might not even view it as a confrontation, but we do.
It ultimately leads to what all confrontations lead to: a fight or a flight. Sometimes one of those options is forced upon us. This is one of those times.
Lurid, engrossing, and not for the faint of stomach, Nobody Was Here is a short tale of dark comic horror that might make you nervous about your next pit stop along a rural stretch of Southern interstate. There is no rest at this exit. In fact, you'll be lucky if you even get to relieve yourself.
There is but one certainty when that heavy men's room door whooshes closed behind you.
    You'll never be the same.

    Riveting terror
When you read a taut work of terror such as this, you're reminded why you enjoy the genre in the first place. This tale reeks of evil, but the source of that evil becomes rather tricky due to the depth of the characters. Nothing is black-and-white as the story overflows the porcelain. One thing is certain- Isaac Thorne kicks you in the teeth with this one. I would love to read a solid horror novel by this author. I highly recommend this.
    A good read!
I thought this book was good. It had a few surprises that I didn't expect. I loved the ending. I would have never thought of ending it like that. I will definitely read more of Isaac Thorne's books.
    Great read !!
I recently just discovered Isaac Thorne short stories, and I am so glad I did.. this particular story is very descriptive which makes it so nerve racking.. I'm going to start the next book now..

Title: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
    Author: Washington Irving
    Narrator: Edward Miller
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 1 hr and 24 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 01-06-17
    Publisher: Audioliterature
    Genres: Fiction, Horror
    Publisher's Summary:
"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is among the earliest examples of American fiction with enduring popularity, especially during the Halloween season. Very understandable indeed, with its amazingly chilling and atmospheric ambience.
The story is set in 1790 in the countryside around the Dutch settlement of Tarry Town (New York), in a secluded glen called Sleepy Hollow. Sleepy Hollow is renowned for its ghosts and the haunting atmosphere that pervades the imaginations of its inhabitants and visitors. The most infamous creature in the Hollow is the Headless Horseman, said to be the ghost of a Hessian trooper that had his head shot off by a stray cannonball during "some nameless battle" of the American Revolutionary War, and who "rides forth to the scene of battle in nightly quest of his head".
The Legend relates the tale of Ichabod Crane, a lean, lanky and extremely superstitious schoolmaster from Connecticut.

    Visions of the Disney Cartoon
So many years ago, and so many times have I watched Walt Disney's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." It is hard to tell if the cartoon was taken from the story or the story from the cartoon. The visions of the animated version never left my mind as I read this wonderful and deeply descriptive short story for the very first time just tonight. What a great tale!
    Love this story!
One of my favorite tales! Love Irving's detail! You can see and feel it! The wording could trip up young readers, but what a wonderful opportunity to increase vocabulary!
    Rather dry read.
THE story was very detailed including "old" English words and phrases. It was difficult to get through quickly, but as a read aloud to a classroom, I think that it would work. I wouldn't read aloud more than one chapter/section at a time. For better understanding of the story, many passages would need to be explained and put into today's terminology.
    Spooky
I had never actually read this story and I love the creepy haunted vibe Irving projects in the story and makes the whole haunting come alive so well.
This old tale will never go out of favor.
To read the original text of Washington Irving, lends a special tone to the story: Remembering that Ichabod Crane was a figment of the imagination more than one and one half centuries ago. To have sat with friends around a fire to keep warm, with little or no other light adds to the fright factor of this spooky tale.

    An interesting tale!
Again this is not my normal type of audiobook story. I received a free audio copy to review for the narrator and I think the narrator did a really good job!
There was a lot of intrigue in the story and both that and the way the narrator preformed the story kept me going!
I received this audiobook in return for an honest review
I really enjoyed this and I think the narrator did a really good job! I'd defo listen to more of his work.

light read with a few interesting twists
struggled a bit with this ...took a while to get going. good basic ideas and probably great for a teenager...personally need the characters to be more believable. narrator sounds self conscious and a bit wooden. I made it to the end though so it was good enough...
Good idea as a story, the execution however..
I really wanted to like the book. Time-travelling stories can be so very rewarding, and this one with parts in the Tudor era had me buying the book in an instant.
While listening I was getting more and more frustrated because the main character seemed to be so very stupid. She is constantly asking: What? Why? Who? Where? as a device to explain to the reader some possibly unknown (for us readers in the 21st century) Tudor object or symbol. But as she is from the Tudor era herself that makes it...well, stupid.
And she constantly makes rash decisions that could cost her or others dearly, and I listened to it seriously disbelieving her capability to reason.
Apart from the that the story is falling flat, it is not very clear what the focus is: love, time, betrayal, myths, this character, or the other one? The story unfolds both too slowly and too rushed. It is sometimes badly jointed, and the ending is (imho) rushed, dissapointing and unconvincing.
On the plus side: It seemed to me that the Tudor era was well researched, it touched on some lesser known real people and the author was fairly unromantic with the living conditions of females in that time.
The performance is ok, sometimes the modulation of some of the characters was a bit grating, but overall an easy listen.
    a delightful time twist story
Really griping story lines. Great narration. Kept me hooked throughout.
strong characters. Twists to the storyline until the end. Very gripping.

The James Barkley gang were well known outlaws in the town of Gold Dust during 1876. James Barkley thought if anyone found any gold in the town of Gold Dust they wouldn't mind sharing, but he was dead wrong. Because no one in the town liked the James Barkley gang.
One night when James Barkley and his gang were camping out planning their next stage coach robbery, James said, "There is a stage coach coming this way in the mid-morning around high noon and there is around $100,000 in cash and this will make us rich." Black Jack chimed in and said, "James, this will make us famous outlaws."
James had a short fuse and if he got into an argument with someone, his six shooters did the talking, and that wasn't a good thing. He was known as the fastest gun in the west. He wore a special calfskin vest with built-in holsters, containing two Colt .41 caliber revolvers.
As the men were sleeping, one of James's men by the name of Saddle Jack Thompson was snoring, and James was getting upset because he needed to get a good night's rest in order to be focused on the stage coach robbery in the morning. So he woke up Saddle Jack and told him to stop snoring, but a few minutes later the snoring continued, so James pulled out one of his Colt .41's and shot him in the head. The snoring stopped.
