A great book to open dialog between parents and teenagers
Just finished reading this book. Angry was candid and honest with the reader concerning his missteps and mistakes in life, in a way that I feel we all can relate to, and honestly say ... "I've been there and I've done that." I found his book to be touching at times, displaying the raw innocence we all have felt, and then relaying the sense of disappointment, rejection, and pain, when that innocence is taking away from us. He expresses that feeling of "being lost and drifting" in a way that helps one realize that it is not a feeling unique to oneself. And yet, in every chapter is the overall message of hope and success, when one rises to the challenge head-on, and undaunted. Travis Angry's message to parents was spot-on, and is a message that needs to be repeated, until it finally sinks in, and parents start worrying less about being "friends" and become "parents" again. In fact, every parent should give this book to their children to read. Then, it should be discussed. If Travis Angry can change, so can those who read this inspirational book!
