Often times pain from the past robs you of power in your present and it sabotages your ability to connect deeply with your spouse. We heard it said, "If you never heal from what hurt you, then you’ll bleed on those who did not cut you.” 

Anytime you put two human beings together, at some point, sparks are going to fly. But what we’ve found is that the sparks that fly are often a fruit of the issue, not the root. They are simply symptoms of the real problem. 

The deeper issue is often linked to pain from the past. And it’s not until conflict arises that what’s at the bottom of our hearts begins to bubble up to the top.
