Getting Your Network Ready For World Cup 2014

Listen Later

The world has its focus and attention to South America and the World Cup. In 2010, there was almost half of the world’s population watching the World Cup in South Africa. On average, there were approximately 188.6 million viewers for each of the 64 matches. And, this year’s World Cup in Brazil is no different. Today, with the considerable change of Internet in the past four years, there are more outlets and devices to watch the matches. The rise in social media (#WorldCup) will  undoubtedly set new viewing records on personal and business networks. World Cup will again historically increase traffic across all networks. Given the popularity of the World Cup on a global basis, Brian Contos from Blue Coat will discuss how the World Cup event will possibly affect the ASEAN’s personal and business network traffic, and provide a window for online frauds, malware attacks and advanced persistent threats on networks.
