Homeschooling isn’t all about academics–it can be a chance to help your kids build all kinds of skills: executive functioning, social ability, conflict resolution, and more!
Join homeschool moms Sandra Kim (HSLDA Media Relations Director) and Heather Frommack (HSLDA Director of Outreach & Educational Consultants) to learn how homeschooling is an opportunity to help kids become well-developed people! They’ll share helpful research, explain how they’ve helped their kids mature, and answer listener questions.
“One of the things that that we did as a homeschool family that really had a positive impact on our conflict resolution was this idea of ‘parlor time.’ We had a room in our house we called the parlor. And if there was conflict between anybody, we would go into that room and process that [conflict]. And we would wait there until we had a healthy resolution. And my grown kids have come back to me and said that time has taught them a lot about conflict resolution that they’re using in their friendships and marriages now.”—Heather Frommack
