The podcast crew goes round the room debating the merits of simulator games like Afterburner and Star Wars Trilogy, one on one versus match games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2, team games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and X-Men, old school arcade games like pinball and skee ball, and shooters like Area 51 and Terminator 2.

Then the knives are drawn and the room gets ugly as we defend movies that can’t defend themselves. What movies need defending? What movies have a solid fan base  and what movies need someone to love them? Is Bye Bye Birdie worth defending, and should Star Wars have a defense team?

Craig comes up with a lightning round of 50/50 questions that probe inside the minds of the Giggaheim Podcast crew at the very end. Gryffindor or Slytherin? Empire or Rebellion? Cats or Dogs? See who likes what, and pick a side.

The Giggaheim Podcast Episode 100 is finally here, and it’s so big, we had to cut it in twain. The podcast crew had three special guest stars: Ert, The Polish Ninja, and founding member Jason who came out of retirement. For the centennial, the Giggaheim Podcast crew put aside its normal movie reviews, video game and tech news, comic book reviews, and dating advice for geeks, and played 4 round of their favorite game: Ten in a Half. In Part 1, The crew tries to figure out what were the worst, the most regrettable, the least worthy gadgets they had ever seen or used. iPod Accessories and 1970’s Propel gadgets were under the scrutinizing knife as the crew debated what was the worst tech-inspired gadgets they had ever experienced.

Then the crew assembles the worst possible places to try and pick up a girl. See if your nominations made it as they dredge up hallowed ground, unsavory experiences, and creepy situations.

The Giggaheim Podcast crew attended MegaCon 2013 and we tell you all about it. Randis, Doug, and Pete review their time and experiences at the con. They review all the amazing cosplay participants seen at MegaCon such as Aquaman, Halo Master Chiefs, Sailor Moons, Auriel, Black Cat and many other fantastic characters. Moving into the realm of science fiction, the crew discuss the Star Trek Next Generation cast reunion on Saturday and recall the questions, answers, and stories from the event. What did being on Star Trek mean to various members like Patrick Stewart, Will Wheaton, and Marina Sirtis? How did Star Trek The Next Generation affect their lives?

Moving ahead, the crew recounts the amazing fans, artists, and writers that they met and were able to interview such as Nigel Sade, Sarah Wilkins, Tommy Castillo, and the Art Institute of Tampa. Pete recounts the amount of signed comic book swag (comics signed by Frank Miller, Joe Quesada, Joe Kubert, and Mark Waid) he scored and proves he scored it under 30 minutes. Pete goes on to reveal his Comic Convention Bingo Card before the crew gives a recount of the good and bad things that happened to them at MegaCon 2013.

The entire Giggaheim Podcast crew joins in for podcast 99. Randis kicks off on how sex makes you healthy. And then the podcast gets rough early with an eternal debate quiff versus fart. Which is worse?

Moving along, Doug, Pete and Randis review “Oz the Great and Powerful.” Was the new movie starring Mila Kunis and James Franco a magical return to a childhood classic, or an inverted perversion that kicks your heart in the childhood? Pete then brings up the moral dilemma of the Wizard sending a child to kill his ex-lover in the original movie. See how the crew weighs in on older movie plots.

After the break Craig gives us the low down on how EA’s servers crashed out when they launched the new SIM City. Why don’t gaming companies have the right servers ready? Giggaheim Podcast 98 stars two guests: Ert and the Polish Ninja! With Doug absent, the crew ponders where Doug could be this week, and wish they had a pair of Google Glasses to find him. Google’s virtual reality creating glasses help you look up anything, share your experiences, conference others, and map out your everyday life. The crew not only updates you on Google’s latest gadgets, but ponders the implications of these new developments on our future.

After we look into the future, we tackle the main event: The Spring Movie Preview. Save $12 a ticket and let us guide you through the greening forest of possibilities this season. Between Jack the Giant Slayer, Oz: Great and Powerful, and G.I. Joe: Retaliation, what will be the best geek movie of the Spring? The crew evaluates what movies are coming out, which movies are worth watching, which will be surprise hits, which will stink, and which aren’t even worth the time to review.

After we give our Spring Movie Preview, Pete reviews the Death of Robin on Batman Incorporated #8. Yet another sidekick is killed, and this time it is the illegitimate son of Bruce Wayne. Is the day of the side-kick done? Did movie adaptation kill off the side-kick, or have reading audiences matured? Pete and the Polish Ninja weigh in on dead side-kicks in comics.

Sony released it’s stats on the PS4. Pete looks at what is under the hood of the Playstation 4 and compares it to the PS3. Is it worth upgrading, or is it just another Blu-Ray player that plays games too?

On Dating Advice for Geeks, Randis explains the time frame of the sex window that passes between friends. When is someone a good friend, and when is someone a possibility to be a lover? Don’t get stuck in the friend zone, rather, let Randis give you the dating advice you need to steer clear of it!

Giggaheim Podcast 97 drops from the sky like a Russian Meteor. Pete and Craig talk about their experiences with a new Samsung 3D TV and how the quality and experience differs. On the heels of TV tech, Pete reveals the next 100 years of technology in tomorrow’s world. Will there be meals in pill form and flying cars? Will the future be more tame with cyborg parts, DNA sequences, and melted ice caps?

Movie news is up next with Peter Dinklage joining the all-star cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Will our favorite Lannister from Game of Thrones be a publicized cameo, or a pillar of the plot? Giggaheim Podcast 96 jumps in with everyone’s favorite game: Where is Doug? Without Doug’s guidance, Randis, Craig and Pete start off with the news that Google Analytics are anticipating flu breakouts faster than the CDC. Is the zombie apocalypse far behind?

Following  the topic of world-ending events, Pete reviews IDW‘s latest cross over comic: Mars Attacks Popeye. Can the spinach chugging sailor man survive against the Martian Conquerers? Will this be the end of Olive Oil and Poop Deck Pappy? With Iron Man 3 making a splash on Super Bowl commercials, the crew debates the merits and downfalls of third installment movies. What makes a good one, and what makes one unwatchable?

Craig buys a 3D TV and reviews its benefits and drawbacks, and, while he is updating technology for his home theater, gives us a preview of Sony’s upcoming announcement for it’s next generation video game console: the Playstation 4. Will it have a Blu-Ray? Will it be competitive in today’s gaming world? Will it give away our credit card info?

Randis then gives us helpful Dating Advice for Geeks by defining what a deal breaker in a  relationship is. How do you know when to make a deal and compromise, and when to bail and break up the relationship?

Giggaheim Podcast 95 starts off with our newest favorite segment: Where is Doug? Pete and Randis roll up their sleeves and tackle the show starting with Randis geeking out over the Harry Potter films. Pete gets down to business by reviewing IDW’s hottest release, the prequel comic books series to the next Star Trek movie Star Trek: Countdown Into Darkness. Is it a good series that will build momenetum for the movie, or just a tease that will drain your wallet? Randis reveals that Star Trek’s J.J. Abrams has been tapped to direct the next 3 Star Wars movies. Is it truth or just another internet rumor?

Pete reveals how to optimize your time and experience on Double XP Weekends with Call of duty: Black Ops 2. He then shares what game types have the most XP available, which character classes and load-outs to use, and the best options about prestiging your weapon, and your character once you level up. In addition, Pete shares how to use Call of Duty’s Elite access to your advantage, and why the free membership can be valuable.

On Dating Advice for Geeks, Randis tackles the issue that can embarrass anyone: When to Say I love you, and when to stop saying it. When do you drop the L-Bomb? When you break up, when should you stop saying it? What makes it a magical phrase that means the world, and when is it used as a weapon? We have your answers right here.

The Giggaheim Podcast returns to action after the winter holidays with Podcast 94. Doug goes missing, so Randis, Pete anmd Craig play their favorite game: Where is Doug? Then the podcast crew jumps into the Oscar nominations discussing what movies got nominated for Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best animated feature. Pete takes the opportunity to review Django Unchained (nominated for Best Picture 2013) and the podcast crew debates the merits of the media’s outrage at the use of the “N Word” in the movie.

Moving from movies the crew talks about the television series they have been watching over the break including The Wire, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, and Oz. Pete then derails the flow with a  review of Brian Michal Bendis’ last Avengers book: New Avengers #34. The all out magical brawl to settle it all, and a fresh new beginning for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Craig jumps in to tell you how to optimize your network connections at home to win the big game online.
