Next big news of the week; Walt Disney Corporation bought Lucasfilm Ltd which included Skywalker Sound, Industrial Light and Magic, and the rights to Star Wars. Along with that Earth-shattering announcement Disney released plans to continue the Star Wars franchise with Episode 7 released in 2015, and follow up sequels every two years. The Giggaheim podcast crew debates whether it was a good thing, or if it is the end of a popular sci-fi movie franchise that brought us Jedi, Sith, and eternal struggles.

Without a comic review the Giggaheim Podcast crew talks about the latest James Bond movie: Skyfall. Was it worth the wait? Did it meet expectations as a Bond film? Or should you watch it another day? Will the movie review break the Giggaheim Podcast crew apart?

Craig charges into video game news covering Gamer ID hacks, and how to keep your game data safe. Doug brings the tech news with iPad Mini news and compares it to Microsofts latest insertion into the tablet market: The Surface. Is it worth the wait? Or is it another forgettable tablet? Then there is a round table debate with the Giggaheim Podcast crew over whether all your devices and computers should have the same OS. Pirates should beware their ISPs, and Doug tells you if you really own digital media or not.

Then Pete gets to review a comic book from Image Comics: Danger Club #1. The post-apocalyptic teen superhero book is written by Landry Walker and art by Eric Jones and Pete gives it a thorough look.

The Giggaheim Podcast is a long haul to a glorious finish. Pete reviews the first three issues of Before Watchmen: Minutemen by Darwyn Cooke. Is the sole team book from the prequel Watchmen series worth reading or is DC Comics trying to get more Milk from a golden cow?

Craig prepares gamers for Fall with a preview of the anticipated titles of 2012: Assassins Creed 3, Gears of War 4, Bioshock 2, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, and Halo 4. Are they worth preordering and midnight releases?

Doug weighs in on the Bleeding Edge Tech Report with more on the 3D printer, and a Presidential Tech Poll. Then the crew fiercely debates a hot topic: Who is the iPad Mini designed for? After the debate the crew tests the speeds on an Andriod 3G, iPhone 4, and iPhone 5. What mobile phone has more power, and what was left in the dust?

On this weeks podcast, episode 88 starts off with a quick review of the Prometheus blu-ray and quickly moving onto Dating Advice for Geeks. Randis covers giving your significant other too much attention with a few horror stories about current relationships and being denied several times. Randis also covers finding the freaks on the Christian sites. Craig covers an new gaming lawsuit that EA is now going through for anti-trust issues. This lawsuit effects all football games that EA has produced since 2005 on all platforms.

The crew then covers more movie news and reviews with the new Thor movie and Argo. Doug explained that Argo is a must see. Continuing on with Doug going over the SpaceX launch and the ability to make your own toys; SpaceX looses an engine and NASA doesn’t allowed to engage stage 2 of the mission without 99% certainty of success. Does this latest technology lower the value of your authentic collectables. Will this technology be so good that we can make our own tools, parts and content on a professional level that will replace the need for large manufactures and companies? Is this acceptable? Will this become a new standard?

Pete decides to stay quiet the entire show and decides that comics are too cool to talk about in this week’s show. He leaves his fans hanging. He will have more next week.

Giggaheim Podcast 87 starts off with the Bleeding Edge Tech Report. Doug tells us about Space X’s upcoming launch and how is makes up for a few experiments that were accidentally left off at the International Space Station. Then Doug dives into an issue that was once controversial: Stem Cells. Apparently scientists were able to grow a world of possibilities from stem cells, and they were cells they were able to artificially create (no controversy necessary!). After that Doug warns us about a Purple Haze on the new iPhone 5, and poses a two pronged question; Can apple surprise us anymore? Are there too many leaks at Apple, and can they still innovate?

Randis starts off Dating Advice for Geeks with analyzing your answers to our Facebook poll: What makes relationships difficult? Communication, keeping the flame going, unrealistic expectations, and a plethora more hold back our happiness in relationships, so how can we overcome them? Next week Randis will reveal the secret to Spotting a Fake Orgasm on the podcast.

Pete jumps in next with a review of the last issue of Marvel Comics’ big event book Avengers vs X-Men #12. With an all star writing cast of Jason Aaron, Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction, and Johnathan Hickman, and artists Adam Kubert, Mark Morales, and Jim Cheung the last issue of this super hero group showdown could either be a massive battle of Earth-Shattering proportions, or a massive let down. Which will it be?

Then the Giggaheim Podcast crew covers a few timely hot topics. Angry Birds will visit a Galaxy Far Far Away with a Star Wars Edition of Angry Birds Space, The Hobbit an Unexpected journey special edition BluRay will hit shelves after the standard BluRay, and a political hopeful in Maine might lose the race due to her online gaming life with World of Warcraft.

Craig takes the reigns and tells us how Gearbox Software hasn’t been able to patch a cheat from Borderlands in their new incarnation Borderlands 2. Then he poses the question: What was your favorite video game cheat? With listener mail we also answer: What is your favorite game developer?

Craig covers the glitches, the multiplayer, the large maps, and the graphics for this gorgeous first person shooter. Craig reveals quick ways to get some achievements for Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Pete’s favorite way to collect digital comics hits the top sales charts on Apple’s App Store: Comixology. Comics in print go the way of movies and Marvel Comics decides to offer a download code with three of their print issues. ThenPete asks the question: What will happen to comics in print?

After that the crew attempts to break the speed of light….again following CERN as the famous european lab decides to conduct their faster than light experiment again. the crew then tried to figure out the question on everyone’s mind: What are Neutrinos?
