The Giggaheim Podcast crew comes back from break refreshed and ready to rock the mics. Pete reviews DC Comics’ team book outing in the New 52: Justice League #2. Do Geoff Johns and Jim Lee make a good team as well or does the book fall flat? There were big developments this year from New York Comic Con: Robot Chicken will do a special DC episode, and Marvel Comics will be bringing back the Phoenix.

Craig reviews Rocksteady’s latest venture into Gotham with Batman: Arkham City. Will the open ended gameplay work, or will it bore quickly?  The Craig talks about the possibilities with Microsoft’s next gen game console, the Xbox 720. Will the Xbox 720 be a beacon in a bright future, or will it be the same a Sega Dreamcast?

In tech news the Space Race comes to New Guienea, and DARPA is recycling Satellites. Do they take them to Reynolds, and is $0.25 per pound worth the trip to space?

The Giggaheim podcast gang gathers for a somber podcast this week. It was an end to several eras in various mediums with losses in the world of fandom. First, the crew pay tribute to Betty Luster (Mr. B Natural), and try and figure out how they will survive life without one of the longest running cartoon on TV,  The Simpsons. Pete dives into DC Comics newest crossover event comic Flashpoint. Will The Flash save the day or change the face of DC Comics forever?

Then they cheer up with the news of the Apple iPhone 4S, and new iOS5 features available this week. Randis demonstrates how romance and relationships have been impacted by personal technology on Dating Advice for Geeks, and the crew remembers a titan with the passing of Steve Jobs. Netflix launches a new video service Quickster, while Dish network relaunches a damn good version of Blockbuster. Which will win out in the battle of the next generation of video service entertainment? Craig and Pete review Microsoft’s latest game franchise sequel with the new Gears of War 3, and give you all the info you need to know about it. Apple’s revolutionary music player may be dead, asteroids didn’t kill the dinosaurs, and the CDC actually does have an anti-zombie plan. But the biggest scientific discovery this week was CERN breaking the light speed barrier. All in this week’s episode.

It was an interesting week in the world of the Geek. We wrap up Dune Awareness Month with factoids about the movie. At the Toronto FanExpo, Marvel had a fiery setback and DC Comics revealed more comics after the New 52. Pax had some interesting announcements for Canadian Xbox Buyers, Gears of War 3, and a leading game peripherals manufacturer jumps into PC gaming with an expensive laptop. We review the milestones of Steve Jobs’ career at Apple Computers, and the Russians screw up their space program. Randis tells us about mobile dating apps, and how to tweak your dating profile to find that special someone.
