This week Emily brings the first instalment of The Donner Party story. The Donner Party were a group of American pioneers who in the mid-1800s migrated to California in a wagon train from the Midwest. They were delayed by a pretty epic series of bad luck, forcing them to camp in the Sierra Nevada mountain range over the winter. Tune in to hear all about the somewhat questionable decisions the party made... also, I think we can all agree that Lansford Hastings was an awful person!

This week, Emily brings us the case of The Covina massacre which occurred on December 24, 2008, in Covina, a city in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, United States. Nine people were killed, all of which were members of the same family, either by gunshot wounds or in an arson fire inside the family home where a Christmas Eve party was being held. Please be advised, it's a very upsetting episode.

This week Jo brings us the case of Karol Kot, a slightly unsuccessful serial killer who preyed on the weak and vulnerable. He terrorized the city of Krakow between 1964 and 1966 before finally being caught. Goes without saying, but we definitely don't like this guy!

Chase was an American serial killer, rapist, cannibal, and necrophile. He was nicknamed The Vampire of Sacramento because he drank his victims' blood and cannibalized their remains, believing he needed them in order to stay alive.

Robert is an allegedly haunted doll who once belonged to a little boy that seemed to be obsessed and terrified of him in equal measure. 

Robert is exhibited at the East Martello Museum and is said to punish those who aren't polite in his presence, striking them down with mystery illnesses and bad luck.

In today's episode of Gin and Sin, Pati brings us a spooky (or ridiculous) case of the Hammersmith Ghost.

From November 1803, a number of people in the Hammersmith area claimed to have seen, and some to have been attacked by, a ghost. Local people said the ghost was of a man who had committed suicide the previous year and had been buried in Hammersmith churchyard.

Was it a ghost? Or was it just a cruel prank that ended badly?
