In this episode of Gin and Sin, Pati brings us the horrific case of Robert Napper.

Napper is a British convicted murderer and rapist. He was sentenced to be detained at Broadmoor Hospital indefinitely on 18 December 2008 for the manslaughter of Rachel Nickell on 15 July 1992. He was previously convicted of the 1993 double murder of Samantha Bisset and her daughter Jazmine.

In today's episode of Gin and Sin, Emily will be presenting the case of Elizabeth Short, known posthumously as the "Black Dahlia".

Short was an American woman who moved to Hollywood to pursue her dreams of becoming a movie star on the silver screen. Sadly though, Short became famous for something far more sinister. In 1947, she was found murdered in the Leimert Park neighbourhood of Los Angeles, California.

Her case became highly publicized due to the graphic nature of the crime, which included her corpse having been drained of blood, mutilated and bisected at the waist.  

Many theories have circulated over the years about what actually happened to the budding starlet.

It was an event in which nine experienced Russian hikers died in the northern Ural Mountains between the 1st and 2nd of February, 1959, in uncertain circumstances. Some of the frozen bodies found in the snow looked as though they had been thrown meters into the air at incredible force, while others were in a state of undress and some were even wearing the garments and shoes of their fellow hikers.
