What began as a radio segment in New Zealand has quickly turned into a viral movement. “Girl Math” is taking the internet and brunch conversations by storm. We chat about whether it’s actually empowering or if it’s another way to infantilise women. We read from this Refinery29 article titled, Is Girl Math Really Helping The Girls? By Elizabeth Gulino. Over in Illinois, they’ve become the first state to regulate kid influencers.

The legislation "creates a private right of action for child influencers against their parents that featured them in videos and did not properly compensate them," according to the governor's website.
