You know the advice "picture the audience naked"? I finally get what it's actually about, and it's not the naked part. It's the human part.
This week: the elite mentor I put on a marble pedestal, the hundred small aggressively-normal moments that cracked it, and the click that changed everything — the nerves were never about him. They were about a character I'd invented, and then I was mad at myself for not measuring up to fiction.
Plus a real 10-second tool for the next time you feel small in a room: name the pedestal, picture one aggressively normal thing about them (microwave staring, mac and cheese off the spoon, cried in the shower), and remember they feel exposed too. The confidence you're seeing is usually just exposure with better lighting.
Imposter syndrome, pedestals, and why "people are just people" isn't the consolation prize. It's the whole point.

I thought 40 might feel a little more settled.
Instead, it has felt like a shaken-up snow globe.
This week I'm sharing a little more of me. Grief, marriage, motherhood, changing bodies, changing relationships, and what it feels like to realize you're still becoming.
Turns out 40 isn't finished at all.
And I kind of love that.

Who are you when nobody is watching?
Not in an integrity kind of way. In a "would you still make that choice if nobody else was there?" kind of way.
In this episode, Cassandra uses the Enneagram to explore the difference between personality and strategy, how self-abandonment can hide inside adaptability, strength, responsibility, and being "easygoing," and why the goal isn't to become someone new.
It's to make sure the version of you showing up is actually your choice.
Sometimes you're not confused.
You know what's happening. You know what the relationship is showing you. You know what the decision is asking of you.
You just really wish the answer were different.
In this episode, we're talking about clarity, relationships, boundaries, and what happens when you stop searching for a better answer and start telling yourself the truth about what you already know.
Ever convinced yourself someone is mad at you based on a short text, weird tone, or tiny shift in energy?
Sometimes something is actually off. Sometimes your nervous system is activated and your brain is filling in the blanks.
In this episode, we're talking about the difference between noticing and narrating, collecting data instead of evidence, and learning to tolerate not knowing exactly what someone is thinking or feeling.
You might not be hated. You might just be dysregulated, babe.
🖤 Rooting for you.
If there are so many people pleasers... where are all the pleased people?
In this episode, we're unpacking one of the biggest myths behind people pleasing: the belief that if we work hard enough, explain enough, adjust enough, and accommodate enough, everyone around us will be happy.
Spoiler alert: that's usually not what happens.
Instead, many people pleasers end up exhausted, resentful, disconnected from themselves, and still surrounded by people who have opinions, expectations, disappointments, and feelings.
We talk about: • Why people pleasing is often about controlling discomfort • The hidden connection between people pleasing and anxiety • The difference between expectations and responsibilities • What boundaries actually do • Why a regulated nervous system changes everything • How to stop making other people's emotions your job
If you've ever bent yourself into a pretzel trying to keep everyone else happy, this one's for you.
In this episode, I'm sharing honestly about grief, loss, community, and what it feels like when your world changes overnight.
We talk about: • Watching my mom die and the complicated reality of traumatic grief • Why grief deserves to be witnessed • The difference between "let me know if you need anything" and people who simply show up • The small acts of love that carried me through • How people live on through stories, memories, and community • Why trusting your instinct may be the greatest gift you can give someone who is grieving
This isn't an episode about fixing grief.
It's an episode about witnessing it.
And if you're grieving too, this is me witnessing yours a little bit too.
Ever feel like something is off… but you can't quite see what it is?
That's a blind spot.
In this episode, I walk you through a real blind spot read (shared with permission) so you can hear exactly how I think, what I look for, and how I help clients get unstuck fast.
We're talking about:
Why you end up stuck in situations longer than you want to be
The pattern of managing other people's emotions instead of being direct
What it actually looks like to set a clear, kind boundary
How your core values can get you into trouble when they're out of alignment
If you've ever said, "I know better, I'm just not doing better," this episode will hit.

I get this question all the time. "Am I right for coaching or should I be in therapy?"
In this episode, I'm breaking it down clearly and honestly.
I share why I built my coaching business after working as a therapist with ambitious women who had met their treatment goals… but still wanted growth, reflection, and support. The truth is, they didn't need therapy anymore. They needed a different model.
We're talking about:
There's nothing wrong with you if you're in that in-between space. It just might mean the kind of support you need has shifted.
If you're finding yourself thinking, "I know better… I'm just not consistently doing better," this episode is for you.
Not sure where you fit? I offer free Strategy Sessions where we can figure out together if therapy or coaching is the right next step for you.
