  • Do You Understand The Table Legs Of Happiness? with Daniel Hill

Welcome to the 88th episode of the Give A Heck Podcast! Join Dwight Heck and his guest, Daniel Hill, as he talks about the life journey that taught him the significance of mastering the 'self' in order to master life. After going past a critical moment in his life, Daniel determined that nothing else was stopping him but his fears and conditioning. In this episode, Daniel explains the relevance of a child's environment, how the shiny object syndrome fails everyone, and the model of the human psyche that visualizes the nine interconnected personality types of every person.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    · Dysfunctional families can create cycles

    · The world beautifies the exterior to appease the inner when it should be the other way around

    · Face Everything And Rise (FEAR)

    · Daniel Hill on mastering your well-being and psychology

    · What is an Enneagram?

    · And much more!

    ~

    About Daniel Hill:

Daniel's fascination with psychology, hypnosis, beliefs, human behaviour and what makes people act in the ways that they do, began at the age of 15. Long before he ever took the courses to become qualified in the areas that he is in now, he studied ardently in the field of personal change.

Aged just 16, having once been a very promising and talented championship athlete, his life became a slow decline into worsening health, anxiety and depression. In his 20's, Daniel endured 4 years of counselling, which he'd sought to help support him in living with M.E/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia after contracting Glandula Fever (from the Epstein-Barr virus). He even studied and qualified in it, before he began to realise that for him it was akin to placing a sticking plaster over the wounds albeit comforting and enlightening to discover why he was feeling the way that he was.

Daniel became a client as well as a student at The Optimum Health Clinic in Harley Street, London for 18 months under the mentoring and tutorage of Alex Howard. There, Daniel gained his qualifications as a Master Practitioner of NLP, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and also in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and Life Coaching. On completion of his studies he was offered a position at the Clinic where he worked for over 6 months in 2007 assisting patients on their "90 Day Programme", which focused on helping individuals in their recoveries from M.E/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

This was partly because of his childhood upbringing; where his dad was insanely smart, his brother was a genius, and he was the average kid who did not do well in academics.

The moment of truth came during the second year of his undergraduate. Raj was sitting in his room, and all the 20 years of depression and anger which had bottled up inside me - exploded. The pandora's box of feelings opened up, and he let it all out. He told himself that he is not stupid, he is enough, he matters, he is capable of achieving greatness, and he can pave his own career path. This was when he declared power over my life.
