I was blessed to attend the 2026 Church Life Africa Conference in Nigeria, which was also my first time in Africa. To be around so many young Catholics, and hear of their triumphs and problems was a deeply beautiful experience. Let me share my thoughts on the experience, and pray for the Church in Africa and for all those Christians who are martyred to this very day.

Ad Orientem is one of the most striking postures of the Mass, and it immediately conveys a sense of elevated worship and reverence. Why this beautiful and ancient practice has fallen into disuse God only knows, but there's hope! Dr. Peter Kwasniewski joins to discuss his new booklet, Ad Orientem, the Direction that Changes Everything, and why this simple reorientation does so much to restore the liturgy to focus on God.

We have obviously lost our wits on how to dress in the culture. But author Anna Kalinowska has just written a practical book on the Catholic philosophy on dress to help us reclaim this important hallmark of beauty, decency, and order. 'Clothed With Beauty' has easily become one of my favorite reads of the year, and I'm so excited to share this great conversation with all of you!

Many people entered the Catholic Church this Easter, including family members! It is wonderful to have so many new and vibrant Catholics, but it can often feel like the cradles are the old guard, and left behind! Not true Squad! In fact, there is much us veterans can do to help keep the new kids from burning out.

Chloe Burnett started life as a Protestant who attended Catholic schools. From there she fell in love with the Catholic faith, officially converting Easter of last year and making her part of this growing trend of young people discovering Christ's Church. We have a great conversation about her conversion, the importance of modesty and fashion, and photographing the simple beauty of Catholic life.

I may lose some folk here, but have an open mind and maybe pop a chill pill...

The truth is that the SSPX plays a vital role in the Church, and as long as this crisis of confusion reigns, they will continue to have a role. That being said, we should pray for full communion, and be considerably more charitable to our fellow Catholics.

Happy New Year! It's easy for Christians and Catholics to feel a mixture of excitement and dread in the new year. But God is inviting us to play a part in His great plan for history! Here's to 2026, and remember - be a good lion, but not tame.

Merry almost Christmas!

The Ember Days are an ancient but important seasonal time for Catholics, but they've fallen out of memory. Many Trads are picking them back up, and I wanted to try. Yeah, didn't work out... But it taught me the importance of beautiful Catholic traditions, and I can't wait to try again!
