Insanely busy Thursday version of GCR. We started by asking a simple question-how have you re-calibrated your expectations for the Orioles after they signed Alex Cobb? Not long into the show, former Ravens/NFL running back Danny Woodhead joined us to explain his decision to retire, what might be next for him and the faith he has in Joe Flacco. Later in the hour, our college sports guru Patrick Stevens (@D1scourse) checked in to discuss the Sweet 16, the future of UMBC Basketball and whether he can name all eight teams Bobby Bonilla played for in his MLB career. At the top of Hour 2, we chatted with new Ravens receiver John Brown-who explained why he came to Baltimore, discussed pairing his speed with Joe Flacco's arm and why he sees himself in Peter Rabbit. At the bottom of Hour 2, Maryland basketball legend Joe Smith joined the show to discuss appearing on the CNBC show "Back In The Game" with Alex Rodriguez to try to change his financial woes. We then discussed the bet Glenn made on Twitter last night-if the Orioles don't sign Ryan Flaherty by Monday, he and Eric Arditti (Barstool RDT from BarstoolSports.com) will host next Wednesday's show while also riding an exercise bike. Then we wrapped the show by having PressBox's chief grand poobah Stan "The Fan" Charles join us from Sarasota to discuss what he thinks the Alex Cobb signing will mean for the Orioles both now and moving forward.
