We were a little silly on GCR Thursday. Okay, a little more silly than usual. We kick things off by reacting to the announcement of the Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2018-which lead us to a game of "can you believe Trevor Hoffman was played for _______? And Jim Thome actually played for ______?" After that, a #FinishThis: a Florida man was arrested for _____ after _____ing _____ at a _____? At the end of hour one, our college sports guru Patrick Stevens (@D1scourse) joined us to discuss a weird week in local college hoops including UMBC struggling offensively and Towson losing an off road game plus the importance of Maryland's game Sunday at Michigan State. Early in hour two, Baltimore native/former Penn State star and NFL LB Aaron Maybin (Mount Hebron) joined us to discuss his campaign to try to keep city schools warm and get the kids the water/supplies they need. And at the bottom of hour two we chatted with former Maryland LB Jermaine Carter Jr. about his hopes of hearing his name called in the NFL Draft. Plus...do we really need the XFL back?

And to wrap the show we listened to Glenn's interview with Mount St. Joseph star/Maryland commit Jalen Smith about being named a McDonald's High School All-American.

Extremely busy Tuesday on GCR. Maryland was...disappointing last night. When will it matter that Mark Turgeon has never really done anything here? At the bottom of hour one, AP sportswriter Dave Ginsburg joined us for our annual visit to reveal his Baseball Hall of Fame ballot. There was some disagreement about his choices-well, more about some of the guys he left off his ballot. At the top of hour two, PressBox's chief grand poobah Stan "The Fan" Charles checked in to react to Ginsburg's HOF ballot and then to play a round of "Five Words Or Less," discussing sports figures like Mike Mussina, Nick Foles and more. And at the end of hour two we had an awesome chat with Baltimore native/Olympic luger Summer Britcher, who is coming off a World Cup win and preparing for Pyeongchang-her second Winter Olympics.

The Super Bowl matchup is set. Yay? Before we get to that, we kick off Monday's show with our friend Paul Mittermeier in studio. He discussed everything we needed to know about this year's Ed Block Courage Award winners and the event itself. After that, we dove into both sides of the Super Bowl matchup. At the bottom of hour one, Patriots play by play voice (and former Navy PBP man) Bob Socci discussed New England's path to Super Bowl LII. Then USA Today Eagles reporter/former Ravens reporter Turron Davenport checked in to discuss the Philadelphia side of things. At the top of hour two, we have a loser in our year-long picks contest. Now what is the timeframe for paying up? Also-what would make us more excited about the Super Bowl? Then at the bottom of hour two PressBox's Glenn Younes checked in to discuss the Super Bowl and more.

It's a #FridaysWithForrester edition of GCR. We're so sorry. Drew (DrewsMorningDish.com) is in studio with us and is convinced that fewer people are interested in Maryland basketball because they're not in the ACC still. It's...weird. We discussed it and Drew was in his usual Forrester form. We also discussed Baseball Hall of Fame voting ahead of next week's announcement. At the top of hour two, the guys battle it out in this week's Jon Proctor Quiz. It's a 1-1 tie for the year coming into this week. And before we wrapped up the show, Glenn paid his botch penance by "singing" the hit Macy Gray song "I Try" in a manner as sexy and raspy as you'd imagine.

Lots happening on a Thursday edition of GCR. Glenn is running behind because the sun apparently blinded everyone on 83 South this morning. So up yours, sun! Maryland legend Len Elmore joined us right out of the shoot before he calls Maryland/Minnesota tonight for FS1. We talked about the Terps battling through injury issues and his thoughts on the NCAA potentially changing the transfer rule. After that Glenn asked if he could root for U.S. tennis player Tennys Sandgren despite the fact that he might be crazy. Then the guys discussed the transfer rule more and made their picks against the spread for NFL Championship weekend. At the top of hour two, Patrick Stevens (@D1scourse) checked in to discuss the up and down Towson Tigers, red hot UMBC Retrievers and the "must win" nature of tonight's Minnesota game for Maryland. After that, Memphis QB Riley Ferguson (projected mid round pick) checked in from the East West Shrine Game to talk about the possibility of coming to Baltimore and learning behind Joe Flacco. At the bottom of hour two, Tony Pauline (DraftAnalyst.com) checked in from Tampa as well for our weekly NFL Draft segment discussing why Alabama WR Calvin Ridley is worth an early pick and his thoughts on Maryland WR DJ Moore.

After that, we welcomed our friend & "The International Sideline Sex Symbol" Evan Washburn from CBS to the program to discuss the Steelers' surprising demise, Sunday's AFC title game and how the Ravens have handled the offseason. After that-InsideMDSports.com's Jeff Ermann joined the show to discuss Maryland losing Offensive Coordinator Walt Bell to Florida State, where they stand with top basketball target Moses Brown and Glenn joining them for a live show before the basketball game tomorrow night. Then we got into #WYRWednesday in the 11am hour. Would you rather have to watch the AFC title game and Super Bowl with the Mass-holiest of Patriots fans OR have to attend the Kid Rock concerts at the NHL All-Star Game AND the Royal Farms Arena with a pre-game party featuring the White Trashiest of Kid Rock fans? At the bottom of hour one, PressBox's chief grand poobah Stan "The Fan" Charles joined us in studio for a round of "Five Words or Less," discussing relevant sports figures like Stefon Diggs, Benjamin Watson and more. At the bottom of hour two we chatted with former Maryland coach/former UConn coach Randy Edsall about Diggs (and Jaguars pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue)'s postseason success. Then we wrapped the show with Glenn fighting with PressBox's Ken Zalis about whether Ravens fans should be angry that the team missed on Diggs.
