Space Therapist Julie Kaufman (special guest star Phylica Rashad) is the acting-boss until the arrival of new owners. Meanwhile, Space Queen (extra special guest star Linda Lavin) informs Princess Pencil (Daphne Zuniga) that she cannot marry Discount Hairdresser Heather Locklear to avoid accusations of nepotism when the Queen hires her to run her space mining and interior decorating company Diamonds and Doilies, to replace the previous administrator who decorated too many mansions with cushions people could not bring themselves to look at.

Previously on Christine Lahti in Space: Dr Christine Lahti prepares for her first date with space janitor Orion (special guest star Benjamin Bratt) who, thanks to The Boss, no longer has a budget for clothing and must go through life completely naked. While admiring the view, Dr Lahti is surprised to discover Orion’s great singing voice, specifically noting his impressive belt. But, unbeknownst to Dr Lahti, Orion stole this gift from ex-girlfriend, and hospital gift shop employee Elaine (special guest star Jane Krakowski). Having refused to move home Pencil (Daphne Zuniga) gets a visit from her mother the Space Queen (extra special guest star Linda Lavin).

Dr Lahti will have to use all the knowledge in her hair to survive the many traps in Holly Marie Combs’ pyramid shaped lair, located on the third moon of planet MLM, in order to retrieve the conditioning antidote, and reunite Holly with her disappointed step mother, special guest star Kathy Baker.
