NFL NETWORK NEWS WEEK 9 Johnny Manziel Takes On the Cincinnati Bengals! Thursday Night Football 2015 Johnny Manziel showed flashes of improvisational creativity out of the pocket entering halftime, but struggled with reads in the pocket. The Browns managed just one first down in an inept second-half performance. To be fair, Manziel didn't get much help from his supporting cast. The bottom line, though, is that a healthy Josh McCown simply runs this offense more efficiently. McCown (ribs) is expected to be ready for next week's game at Pittsburgh. Late-stage Kobe Bryant, while proven to be entertaining in his own particular way, is not a very effective basketball player. He was hilariously bad before tearing his rotator cuff last year, and he’s continued to be very bad through the first five games of this season. This fact is not lost on Kobe Bryant.

After last night’s loss to the Mavericks, in which Bryant went 3-of-15 from the field, he offered a harsh evaluation of his own performance. From the Los Angeles Times:

“I suck right now,” said Bryant, 37, who scored 22 points fewer than his age. “I’m the 200th-best player in the league right now.”
