Meet Rochelle Parker

At a young age, Rochelle knew helping people and sharing the gospel in a transparent way would lead her to greater heights. Rochelle E. Parker, an ordained minister since 2016, listened to the strong calling for ministry in her life, and God began to show her the power of manifestation, which resulted in an evolution in all aspects of her life. Although, as a little girl, Rochelle worked in ministry, as she began to step into her purpose, she learned to achieve her duties in Christ by being persistent, diligent, and faithful.

Educating herself in her areas of interest lead to her receiving her Associate's degree in Communication. Speaking to individuals in public became second nature to her. She began ministering at events, in self-development courses, and during church service. Her passion for speaking and ministering led her to a bigger platform.

Rochelle founded and operated her first organization, What’s Your Truth, where she developed a series of presentations that focused on young women acknowledging their inner and outer beauty and seeking visual mentors who represent truth and value. Her experience with helping others began at Young Minds Christian Preparatory School as a teacher, where she had the opportunity to constantly engage young people. Rochelle has also dedicated much free time volunteering with local initiatives and organizations such as Northwest Westside CDC's city clean-up, walk with a Doc in Washington Park, and Educate 2 Educate as a Program Coordinator for global leadership. Rochelle Parker is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a diverse cultural background. Living on the B Side has evolved a lot since I initially had the original website created. From a personal blogging website, it has now turned into a Podcast focused passion project whilst still having the guest blogging element to it.

I also learned more about the power of music and how amazing it can be to integrate it into my daily life. Chatting to others about their take on how music impacts their lives has contributed heavily to the changes now being made to my website.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Ruth Bermudez, The founder of Afrowarriors subscription box. For many years, I've dealt with on-and-off depression, low self-esteem, and little to no confidence. In early 2019, I surrendered to God. I just wanted to be alone, wanted to heal from past trauma, was tired of being in the same cycle, wanted to find my self-worth, to find my glow, and work on being the most unapologetic natural version of myself. The thing is I didn't quite know how or what to do to heal.

Since I've surrendered, I wrote a note apologizing to myself for mistreating her (me)  and, most importantly, neglecting my soul for all these years. I cut my damaged hair, symbolizing me removing the damaged pieces I was holding on to in life. Then I planted a seed symbolizing my spiritual growth and Personal Development.

I  started doing things on my own and asking myself questions, like " why am I so afraid to be with myself ?", " What are some of your triggers from the past ?" "Have you forgiven that person who hurt you?". From there, I began my self-worth/spiritual Journey.

I want to be able to share my story and experience and reach out to millions of women, who are healing from domestic violence, Absent/hateful parents, betrayal from friends/family, academic denial and want to find their self-worth, finding self-love, work on personal and/or spiritual growth. I started this company because healing doesn't have to be boring or unbearable. Make it fun getting to know yourself, and Remember, No matter where you are in your journey, know that healing is beautiful.

While Amy’s athletic career was short-lived, she fell in love with the world of sports. That learned love for sports came in handy when she embarked on her career in professional sports. She’s lived internationally, which provides her with a global sports perspective. With a career in marketing, partnerships and public relations, the TedX speaker has mastered small talk, which comes into play when breaking down sports so you can conquer your next networking event.

Her career has included working for a Major League Baseball team and in other male-dominated industries. A third-generation entrepreneur, Amy once flew around the world in 58 hours and 37 minutes, has lived internationally, and is a master of small talk, bringing people together and the handwritten note. You can often find this married lady working with the entrepreneurship community nationwide and teaching her toddler about sports, food and other things he’ll have to use to make small talk one day.

In this bio, I’m going to tell you a lot about myself because I want you to feel like you are having coffee with a friend when you visit the Goodness Exchange.

Additionally, I am skeptical of websites where you look at the “about” page, and there is only an impersonal, canned blurb there, or maybe nothing at all. Who are these people? Why should I trust them with my time?

I know my bio here is unconventionally long, but adhering to “convention” has never been one of my strong suits, so please feel free to step off the “Dr. Lynda Story” at any time. Really, this is far too long, but it is the whole story of an ordinary person who has found her way in and out of a lot of extraordinary circumstances.
