We’ve finished season 3 and we have a classic rerun for you. This is what we think is our best episode from season 3. This is the fourth episode of season 3 of Miami Vice titled “Walk-Alone”. This is the episode we get the amazing phrase from Tubbs, “You’ve been chumping around on me!”

Okay, its been awhile since we've had a bad episode of Miami Vice. But whoo-boy this one is terrible.

We start off fairly Vice-y. Tubbs' has a new girlfriend and life is finally starting to look good for Rico. The Vice writers must really hate Tubbs though. His girlfriend doesn't even make it to the opening credits. Tubbs will just never be truly happy again. Maybe he should have gone back to New York…

Anyways, after some investigation and a brief scene of Izzy stripping (not gonna lie, probably the best part of the episode) Tubbs goes to jail. Well, to infiltrate the crooked guards and bring down the drug smuggling ring they've built. We get of the silly train early and ride it until the wheels fall off.

Melissa is really upset that Tubbs will never be happy again. Dominic wonders why they even had to chase Tubbs to put him in jail. John… John is very concerned with the fact that the Vice team busts into the jail (literally blowing up a wall), shoots several guards and arrests the others without ANY plans on how the prisoners would react or what to do with them after.

Hi pals, coming up on this weeks episode of Go With The Heat we're replaying some of our favorite moments and clips from season 3. We also have a huge announcement, so be sure to check out this weeks episode. On This Week in Vice this is the part two of our review of the summer between season 3 and 4 of Miami Vice. This week we'll be covering July 13 to Sept. 20, 1987, when Miami Vice was king.

On August 16, Northwest Flight 255 just moments after taking off from Detroit Metropolitan Airport crashed, killing all 6 crew members, 2 people in automobiles near I-94 and 148 of the 149 passengers. A 4-year old girl was the only survivor of the crash that was the deadliest aviation disaster in American history at the time.

On Sept. 7, Donald Harvey confessed and was indicted for the murder of 12 people while working at Marymount Hospital in London, Ohio. Dubbed the "Angel of Death", Harvey killed terminally ill patients and said he wanted to "ease their pain". He eventually admitted to killing over 80 people, some ill and others not, and was sentenced to 20 consecutive life sentences.

In this stretch there are 6 different number one songs that would top the Billboard Hot 100. The songs include Shakedown by Bob Seger, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by U2,Who's That Girl by Madonna and the cover song La Bamba from Los Lobos.

But the biggest hit in summer months is Along by Heart. Although the song was originally written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly and even made an appearance on the sitcom Dreams, Heart's cover is the best version. From the album Bad Animals, the power ballad is the bands biggest hit sitting on top of the Hot 100 for three weeks. This song is the best of the 80's summed up in about 4 minutes.

Unlike music, there are only 3 movies that would win the box office in the summer of 1987. For the most of the summer, Stakeout held the box office. Starring Richard Dreyfuss and Emilio Estevez its a great 80's movie and would even have a sequel aptly titled Another Stakeout. There is a bond movie that would win a few weekends but neither of these movies matter.

On July 17 one of the most important sci-fi movies ever hits theaters. Starring Peter Weller and Nancy Allen is the all-time classic Robocop. The dystopian cyberpunk action movie is set in a crim

Season 3 of Miami Vice has come to a close and in this episode of Go With The Heat, your pals take a look back at their favorite moments, episodes and guest stars. In retrospect, this season of Miami Vice was really good. It wasn’t easy picking out our favorite moments from the list. Of course John has combed through the music to find the best artists and bands featured this season.

Hi pals, coming up on this weeks episode of Go With The Heat we're recapping all our favorite moments from season 3 of Miami Vice and looking forward to season 4. On This Week in Vice we'll splitting the summer between seasons into two parts. The summer of 1987 was amazing, this week we'll be covering May 11 to July 12, 1987, when Miami Vice was king.

On May 17 the USS Stark as part of the Middle East Task Force was struck by two missiles during the Iraq-Iran War. The missiles struck with little warning to the crew, leaving 37 US Navy personnel killed and 21 injured. Iraq would later apologize for the incident and the US Navy would relieve Captain Glenn Brindel of the USS Stark for not defending the ship.

During this time period there would be 5 different number one songs on the Hot 100, but I'm only going to single out one. The other four songs include You Keep Me Hangin' On by Kim Wilde, Always by Atlantic Starr, Head to Toe by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam and I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) by Whitney Houston.

The biggest hit of this time period and the song of emphasis for this episode is With or Without You by the International mega band U2. From the multi-platinum and critically acclaimed album The Joshua Tree the song would spend 3 weeks at number one and is the bands first time on the top of the charts. With or Without You is considered one of the greatest songs ever and routinely on lists of writers and artists all-time favorite songs.

Normally during this segment I like to point out the most successful or popular creation over the stretch of time. During this time period Ishtar, The Witches of Eastwick, and Beverly Hills Cop II, which broke the record for highest-grossing R-Rated film, all won the box office at one time or another.

But, the most important movie during this time and one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever debuted. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura, Bill Duke and Shane Black is the movie Predator. Directed by John McTiernan the movie needs no introduction. We’re here at the end of season 3 and we get an amazing episode where we learn essentially the entirety of Gina’s history. Saundra Santiago also plays both as Gina and as Gina’s mom, pulling off a feat no one else in the show can do… Actually sing and sing well.

This episode pulls hard on your heart strings. The life that could have been for poor Gina, the love lost by Klaus and the Commandante that doesn’t really like Jazz if he keeps shooting the singers.

We really enjoyed this episode. John thinks he found Gina’s real Dad, Melissa is disappointed Crockett and Tubbs are disappointed and Dom really gushes over the end.

Hi pals, coming up on this weeks episode of Go With The Heat Gina investigates an East German spy who might also we responsible for her mother’s death in season 3’s final episode Heroes of the Revolution. On This Week in Vice we’ll be covering when this episode of Miami Vice aired, from to May 4 – 10, 1987, when Miami Vice was King.

Of all the news and controversies in the 80’s, this one might be the most contentious. On May 7, Cheers would end its fifth season and would be the final episode for Shelley Long and ending the “Sam and Diane” story on the show. Beginning in season 6, Rebecca, played by Kristy Alley, would replace Diane and and remain for the rest of the show. You’re either a Diane or Rebecca fan of Cheers. Personall, I’m a Diane.

We’re going to replace one classic with another. Moving Aretha Franklin and George Michael from the Hot 100 is the amazing love ballad (I Just) Died in Your Arms from the English rock band Cutting Crew. From the album Broadcast the song would be the biggest hit for the band, spending 2 weeks at number one on the Hot 100.

The Secret of My Success still has the box office for one more week, so we gotta go to the archives. Buried by The Secret of My Success is the comedy-drama film Project X. Starring Matthew Broderick and Helen Hunt the movie centers around a secret Air Force test on chimpanzee’s and the attempted liberation by Broderick and Hunt. The film had much controversy, including a lawsuit from The Price Is Right host Bob Barker for animal cruelty. I mostly remember being so sad at the end of this movie and not understanding why its a comedy.

This episode was quite a surprise. You could say it was from the strange antics of the junkie actor or the dealer who funnels his business through funeral homes. But the real surprise was Sonny spending so much time reading and reciting poetry and quotes from plays. Of course the strange interpretation of Elvis by Mikey was the pinnacle moment of capping off our three episode run of “weird Miami” episodes. Its a trifecta of awkwardness!

From beginning to end this episode really covers the true bleeding heart of Sonny Crockett and his belief that people can change… Even junkies. Meanwhile John gets to the bottom of the single artist of all the music in this episode. Dominic learns all about how a crematorium works. Melissa really, REALLY doesn’t like this episode.

Hi pals, coming up on this weeks episode of Go With The Heat an actor mistakenly finds himself between the Vice team and a dangerous drug dealer in the episode Everybody’s In Showbiz. On This Week in Vice we’ll be covering the large gap when this episode of Miami Vice aired, from April 6 to May 3, 1987, when Miami Vice was King.

On April 24, a fatal accident at the construction site of the L’Ambiance Plaza apartment building in Bridgeport, Connecticut would cause the building to collapse and kill 28 construction workers. The 13-story building suffered a total collapse during its construction, leaving nothing but a pile of rubble and the loss of 28 workers.

On April 6, in a giant boxing upset Sugar Ray Leonard wins by split decision over the heavily favorited Marvin Hagler in one of the greatest boxing matches of the 80’s. Ultimately the speed of Leonard overshadowed the power of Hagler in the controversial decision.

Let us never speak of Starship again… The Grammy award winning song I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) pushes Starship into the corner and will hold the top spot for 2 weeks. This amazing song is sung by the most amazing duet, with the one and only Aretha Franklin and the singer that defined the 80’s George Michael. The single was a one-off project for both superstars and was Franklin’s 17th. top 10 song and Michael’s fourth number one.

The entire month between episodes of Miami Vice the box office was dominated by the Michael J. Fox comedy The Secret of My Success. The film follows Brantley Foster, played by Fox, as he moves from his home in Kansas to New York City and struggles to fit into the fast paced business world. Directed by Herbert Ross the film would spend 5 weeks at the top of the box office.

Its another one of THOSE episodes. One of the Miami Vice episodes about the deep, seedy underbelly of the city of Miami and the crazy characters even the Vice team aren’t prepared for. In Viking Bikers From Hell, we meet Reb. He’s the muscle bound biker who’s just gotten out of prison, swore an oath to his recently deceased best friend and will stop at nothing to get revenge.

What was he in jail for? Who knows. What was the oath? A total mystery. Why did Sonny kill his best friend? Drugs… Maybe? John wants to know what the exchange rate is on pirate money while Melissa is wondering about the trailer park by the sea. Dominic just wants to make sure that couple got their fried chicken.
