Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! Today we return with a Goblin Profile! But for this Goblin we are doing things a little different. This Goblin is so amazing that they needed 2 parts! The Goblin? Kiki-Jiki, the Mirror-Breaker. For part one we were joined by the Queen (Mab the Queen that is) to discuss a community that has embraced Kiki-Jiki. This specifically grew out of the cEDH Community and the trans-femme community. Part 2 delves a little deeper into the lore with the Gruulboss (aka Skylar) and look at Kiki through the lens of Autism!
Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).
We also are proud to have partnered with Grinding Coffee Co a black, LGBT+ affiliated and owned, coffee business that is aimed at providing coffee to gamers. You can read more about their mission here. You can use our partner code for discounted coffee!
On another new note we continue our partnership with The Fireside Alliance. From their main page: "An independent media network and a progressive community of progressive communities". Please check them out!

As promised, we plan to keep these Mental Health Links available moving forward too. For general Mental Health the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has great resources for people struggling with mental health concerns as well as their families. We also want to draw attention to this article on stigma from NAMI's site.

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! Today's episode is another a short talk about events and COVID precautions as Alex talks with his friend Tim Niederriter about their time at 4th Street Fantasy convention, which held it's first in-person event since the outbreak of COVID earlier this month. Alex and Tim also talk about the event itself, and why they both are regular attendees of this convention. Tim is a guest we hope to have back on in the future as he is a big fan of the lore!
Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! Today we celebrate a double milestone that happened with some pure coincidental Goblin Chaotic Energy. It is our 4th Anniversary, and it is also our 150th episode (ish... there were a few unnumbered check-ins but shhhhhhhhh). The hosts went back through 4 years and 150 episodes and chose their Top 4. And in true Goblin Fashion there was a lot of cheating and there may be a few other episodes... and guests... and hosts... and series... mentioned. We hope you enjoy and we cannot wait to bring you more!!

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the plan is for all the episodes this month to relate to important topics within Mental Health. We are also participating (along with other excellent creators) in #MentalHealthMtG and attempting to raise money for MH Organizations!!
Today's episode is a little different. Hobbes is still recovering from the MH Charity Event 2 Day Streaming Extravaganza (or something). He does a brief recap of that before handing it over to Alex to discuss Cognitive Distortions/Common Mistakes in Thinking. We discussed this way back in Episode 69 about Davriel's "Entity" and May seemed like a good time to revisit, This article is used as the jumping off point for discussion and can be a resource to learn more!

We are also participating (along with other excellent creators) in #MentalHealthMtG and attempting to raise money for MH Organizations!!
For today's episode Alex and Hobbes are joined by returning guests Taya and Reinhardt! We wanted more perspectives to tackle the topic of how to start conversations about Mental Health. With Stigma still being a significant barrier (even for our Planeswalkers) we felt it was important to put this out there. For story today we look to Elspeth and her Lost Confession and we also learn that there is fanfic out there about a therapist to the Planeswalkers!

Earlier Hobbes put out a call for Magic Story related to Grief and people answered with everything from storylines (Feldon, Ajani, Kamahl) to Flavor Texts to Card Names to Art. Grief is a tough topic to tackle and we had previously reached out to our friend (and fellow Hipster of the Coaster?) Ryan Sainio about finally doing an episode. He has been open about the loss of his sister and today he discusses his personal journey with grief (he has touched on it in a scripted audio drama). This also leads to an examination of the Stages of Grief popularized across Media and why they might not be the best way to discuss this difficult process.
Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! Are you tired of Hobbes and Alex going on and on about Rote Runner, the purposeful, intentional, planner?!? If so, this is likely not the episode for you. You see after Hobbes and Alex discussed this topic back in January Alex reached out directly to the creator of the planner and he agreed to come on the show. Fun fact, his name is Irfan and he knows basically nothing about Magic. This means that Hobbes finally might convince someone of the genius planning done by one Nicol Bolas. Either way, this is a method/resource the hosts really believe in and wanted to find out how it came to be. Here's the link to the method and an online resource!
Also Yankee Candles if you are reading this we would like to light more things on fire... (we said this back in January... sadly they have not actually returned any emails yet...)
Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).
