  • Episode 134: The Color Pie of Thanksgiving!

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! And we are back with our 6th Episode Using The Color Pie to discuss one of our top 3 Topics (Food). With each episode we find ourselves refining our Color Pie Theory for Food/Cooking and today's episode will continue that "refinement". Today we take on the American Holiday of Thanksgiving and with it bring in the discussion of Hybrid Mana as it could relate to food. Also Alex and Hobbes definitely go WAY off the rails and even forget to talk about Gravy...

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! Recently the hosts have spent many weeks trying to learn everything they could about our friend Jay Annelli's book on the Legends of the Multiverse. So in spite of slander against Nicol Bolas, and despite our better judgment, we went out and kidnapped... we mean "persuaded" Jay to come on. While part 1 focuses a bit more on the book, it also discusses the best Creature Type Around!! Also join us next week when we get into disaster planning, emergency management and figure out how those relate to a full time gig doing Magic!

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! And we are back with part two of a look at our friend Jay Annelli's book on the Legends of the Multiverse. This fantastic book is a visual history with plenty of amazing artwork. Perfect for an audio podcast to talk about right?? Also we want to say congrats to Jay on the birth of his child and his amazing roast of Hobbes. Hilariously this week's episode might have made that roast hit a little close to home. Also we talked about this story behind Admiral Beckett Brass

  • No Episode: Babies are the Worst

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to not an episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! Instead this week we just have a brief update on where we are and where we are going to be coming up. Hobbes has been busy prepping for the arrival of a new little Monster (as named by his Goblin Daughter Gwen). Alex's work situation has been in a state of change and we are entering a busy season for him. Not shockingly, for both hosts this also means Mental Health and Wellness has been affected. We are also entering the phase of Holidays which in the past has meant difficulty with putting out new material. We have some things planned (including a guest that we think will really get people excited). So sit back and listen to this not episode by Alex.

  • Episode 129: Part 2 with Anthony Waters!

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast!

cw, tw: suicide, suicidal thoughts, depression

Even though we have passed the months of May and September when we have our heaviest focus on Mental Health, we could not pass up a chance to collaborate with another fantastic guest to discuss Mental Health. Today is Part 2 and picks up where we left off last week starting an explicit discussion of Depression. We cannot say thank you enough to Anthony Waters for joining for this and for his willingness to be so open with the hosts. This is probably the most raw/emotional episode we have done and we hope that you feel comfortable listening. As always we have resources below for anyone struggling with mental health concerns.

  • Episode 128: Part 1 with Anthony Waters!

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore Podcast! Even though we have passed the months of May and September when we have our heaviest focus on Mental Health, we could not pass up a chance to collaborate with another fantastic guest to discuss Mental Health. Today is Part 1 (and a warning now that Part 2 will definitely be a heavier, important, necessary discussion) in which we mainly talk about Anthony's history with Magic the Gathering. This includes ways that the community and artists interact allowing a dialogue between creator and fan in a way that is rarely seen. The conversations ranges all over the place (we're so sure you are shocked) and ends with us just introducing next week's more direct discussion of Mental Health. We cannot say thank you enough to Anthony Waters for joining for this and will have much more to say about him in next week's episode.
