Number 1: Since God didn’t use evolution, he’s not the author of death and suffering. If God used evolution, then he used a process involving millions of years of death, disease, suffering, bloodshed, and extinction to create us. That makes God an ogre who calls death “very good.”
But the Bible makes it clear God didn’t use evolution. He’s not the author of death—we are because of our sin. That’s why God calls death “the last enemy” and defeated it by his death and his resurrection.
