Learning how to hear God's voice and discerning and understanding how He speaks is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us.

As we hear, live in, and live from the words that God speaks, the circumstances around lose their power to shake us.

We can be a people who live in a place of hope despite storms; we can be the eagles He called us to be, who live "high above" what we walk through on this earth.

We can be people who know how to live in peace--the peace that surpasses all understanding--despite the wind, waves and storms that roar.

From the place of divine connection with Him, we live as overcomes, aligning daily with revelation to us.

The journey to hear the voice of God and understand how He speaks is the most powerful place where you come alive to His goodness, His kindness, and His love.

You become fully present and awake to who you are and all He has called you to.

It's your confidence that He speaks to you and you can recognize His voice.

When we're in an unknown place, we tend to think about "there."

Getting there is not better than here, it’s just different.

What do you think will be better there?

We’re constantly trying to climb into new versions because we haven’t full owned this one.

In order to change, you have to have authority over where you are now and love that before you can access what's next.  

You get to become the person that has that possibility and act from that place to create it.

When you’re freaked out, you’re NOT being that person.

Many of us are looking for love in ALL the wrong places...

Usually this is outside of ourselves.  We look to others to meet our needs or to make us happy rather than recognizing that's never someone else's job.

When you enter in a relationship you will either contribute to or contaminate based on what you bring when you show up.

What have you done to contribute to the demise of previous relationships in your life?

You need to know this so you can own the role you had and adjust to not do it again, then you have a chance of not repeating in new or existing relationship.

Not more doing.

Not more leaning on your own understanding.

Not more dwelling on how things aren't like what you want.

Clarity.

Clarity is purity, simplicity, sharpness, effectiveness.

It's what allows you to let your "yes" be "yes" and your "no" be "no."

It's what improves your communication.

It's what enhances your relationships.

It's was empowers you to show up authentically without all the effort.

Many people are working overtime, trying to change things that they cannot change.

You have to accept the fact you can't control everything. The only thing you can control 100% of the time is your attitude.

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond. If somebody hurts you, you can't control that. It's over and done, but you can control whether or not you get offended, or if you were to get a negative medical report.

You can't control that, life happens, but you can control whether or not you live upset and discouraged.

Next time you're tempted to be frustrated, offended, stressed out, remind yourself, that's a part of the 10%. You can't control that, but you can control how you respond.

Start passing the test. Don't keep letting the same things upset you year after year, the same people get on your nerves.

Every day is a gift from God. We're not always going to be here. Once this day is over, we can never get it back, and your time is too valuable to waste it upset in traffic, offended at a neighbor, frustrated at a child, worried about your health, discouraged because a dream is taking so long. You can't control those things. If that was going to keep you from your destiny, God would have never permitted it. Start passing the test. Don't allow yourself to be upset.

Most of us define ourselves by what we consume. And we do so without thinking twice about it. We base our identities on which sports teams we follow, the music we listen to, the shows we watch, the cars we drive, the diets we follow, the brands we buy.

While this signals a landslide victory for consumerism, it presents a major challenge to our sense of individual identity and fulfillment. It becomes difficult to instill life with any sort of meaning when we've boxed ourselves into the dependent role of a consumer, creating nothing of our own.

To create is to actively engage and contribute to the world.

The people creating are the ones taking the risk. Without an outlet in which to create, the number of moments in life when you feel truly alive are few and far between. Creating is engrained in us.

Who is more likely to succeed?  One who is overcome by all of the challenges and inner resistance that comes up or one who is highly skilled in overcoming and managing their reactions to them?

Here’s where your job comes in.

Your job is to perpetually solve problems. 

How?  Self-Coaching.

Self-Coaching is to ask more of yourself than your default.

You learn to see your choices and use your agency to create different results.

My job is to make you aware of the pitfalls ahead of you so you can overcome obstacles like the boss that you are and make clear decisions no matter what season you’re in--aka develop higher emotional intelligence (vibes mastery). 

Emotional Intelligence is understanding and managing your own emotions and those of people around you.  People with high emotional intelligence know what they’re feeling, what their emotions mean, and how these emotions affect other people.

Who knew that personal development and spiritual development could be so not meh...

Learning how to advocate for yourself can feel like one of the scariest and most intimidating things to do...

When you've grown accustomed to putting others before yourself and making other's needs more important, there is a tendency to lose a sense of self. 

The truth that's denied--You are not helping someone when you free them of their responsibility.  You are not helping you when you abandon, betray and break promises with yourself.

When we lose ourselves we don't know who we are, what we value, what we need or how to speak up and communicate those needs and desires in healthy and productive ways.

Is it time to learn to be a better advocate for yourself?
