God’s Word And Daily Prayer For Today

The gospel of Jesus Christ should not be twisted to suit the carnal desires of man but hold fast to the gospel, the eternal promises of God. Christianity seems to be filled with deceit and despair because many leaders are falsely persuaded by filthy lucre and have not come to the full knowledge of the intended purpose of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Here we learn that Paul reproves the Corinthian Saints for their contentions.

He insists upon them remembering as we should now, that believers can do nothing without the Christ of God. Paul encourages the Saints as we should be encouraged now, that we are building on the foundation laid by Jesus Christ.

We are admonished by the apostle and reminded that we cannot please God living contrary to his instructions. But, if we live by his word, we know and have assurance by the in dwelling of the Christ of God; that in that great day when Jesus shall descend in the clouds with the trump of God, coming to get the righteous ones of God, we will be able to go back with him.

In this passage of scripture they were then and still today are reminded that God has promised a Messiah, and how He would and did come into the world to save His people. Peter reminded them then and we are to be reminded even now that the promise of the Holy Ghost, “another comforter”, would come and did come. Peter gave the people instructions on what they would need to do to inherit that promise; even so today.

Here Jesus is acknowledging that he understands the sorrow in the hearts of those that were with him and believed him. However, he is assuring and reassuring them that as he promised he will not leave them without direct and personal access to the father by using his name when they pray. He is explaining that he had come from his father and lived his life in the earth teaching and demonstrating how the people should and would be able to live their lives after they would receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost that would be sent into the earth after Jesus returned to heaven.

And even until these days our Lord Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, the propitiation for the sins humanity, that has provided opportunity to humanity to live life in abundance is still rejected. But woe to them that reject Him. Please don’t turn Him away!!

God reaches out to everyone with his love, his word, and his desire for salvation. However, Jesus makes the point here that more people live their lives enjoying and giving heed to the secular pleasures of this world, that hinders; than those that give diligent heed to God’s promises, his mercy, his grace, his compassion, and his kindness; from whence comes salvation. Many hear God’s plan of salvation but don’t live so.

Here we are in the New Testament era; but just like in the Old Testament satan, the enemy of God is still at work. That is turning people away from following the plan of God. Jesus came to the chosen people of God and they rejected him.

The Divine origin, the design, and the importance of this book. The apostle John salutes the seven churches of Asia; and declares when, where, and how, the revelation of Jesus Christ was made to him; to declare it to the Pastors of the seven churches in Asia Minor. His vision, in which he saw Christ appear.

Here the apostle exhorts the church to stedfastness in the faith. He warns the people of the potential danger of being infected by false teachers and preachers, of the dreadful punishment which shall be inflicted on them and their followers. The man of God here provides some insight and an awful description of gospel seducers and their deplorable end; falling into the hands of the living God.
