Apologies GS Fam, but better late than never. Starting 2021 season with a conversation with Atlanta’s #1 Super Lawyer, the Hypebeast attorney, Edward F. Kim. Eddie grew up primarily in the U.S., moving around from Alabama to even spending some time overseas in S. Korea for school until he was eventually forcibly sent back to the States to Atlanta, Georgia to live with his uncle and aunt like the "Fresh Prince". He would go on to face major life challenges, including the unfortunate sudden passing of his father during his teenage years. After some lost rebellious years, Eddie was able to turn things around by realizing his potential, and instead of pursuing a writing career, he further challenged himself towards becoming an attorney as his late father had always hoped for. Through the support and encouragement of his family and mentors in his life, Eddie was able to take initiative for his future and credits God’s presence for his success. Along with his extreme work ethic and dedication to growing his own firm into one of the top personal injury law firms in Atlanta, Eddie continues to share his story as a promising YouTube personality, utilizing the platform to further share his brand and his own personal interests and goals to leave a legacy beyond the legal sector through various forms of effective networking.

In this episode, Ray gets to have his first one on one conversation with a beautiful soul named Christy Cash. Christy grew up in LA but most definitely had to move around at a young age eventually leading to complications and her deciding to drop out of high school. However, this setback did not ultimately stop her from manifesting her hopes and dreams. Eventually Christy pursued a career in the jewelry business, eventually becoming a certified Gemologist and “Grillz” Specialist in order to revamp the market for “Grillz”. In doing so, this “BAUS”, inspiring woman has been able to prove hard work truly pays off and the importance of taking massive action and change in order to manifest the positive differences you want to see or make in life.

Thank you to Christy for being a testament of someone who is always seeking personal growth and development in order to ultimately leave this world a better place. Understand the importance of taking full responsibility for our own respective situations and owning up to them in order to make that necessary change instead of blaming the world and outside factors. The world/universe is not against you. Christy’s story of vulnerability, perseverance, and refusing to give up and never settling is inspiring enough, but even more admirable is her humility in truly understanding her bigger purpose in her life that goes beyond her own personal benefit.

In this episode, Ray (your host) gets to meet with Co-Founder & Head Chef of Kobunga: Korean Grill, Stephen Cho, who Ray has actually known since Kindergarten.

Stephen was born and raised in LA, but while completing his undergrad at NYU in New York, he grew his passion for cooking and hospitality. Initially starting out with small private open tables where Stephen would serve up some amazing slow-cooked BBQ such as his infamous beef brisket. After graduation, Stephen made his way back to the West Coast, where he continued his underground cooking ventures until he eventually teamed up with his partner and opened up his own restaurant on the USC Campus Village with plans of expansion.

Although Stephen is known for being a great listener, here he is able to share insights and thoughts on the Food & Beverage/Hospitality industry and his overall journey of perseverance and stamina in faith to remain consistent in reaching his goals through his gifts and passion for food and hospitality. Today with 2020’s health concerns over COVID-19,

Stephen discusses how plans for Kobunga dramatically changed, and how he and his partner have been able to overcome the economic burden of the virus with proper preparation and quick pivoting and adapting to the changes and restrictions enforced on restaurant businesses in LA.

In this episode, Ray (your host) gets to catch up with one of his 형's (hyeong)(older brother in Korean), David Yungin Kim, who grew up in LA and always thrived on his own determination and willpower. Going from intern/runner at the infamous Chalice Recording Studios to winning 2 freaking Grammy Awards. Today, Yungin has teamed up with infamous music producer Hitboy and has his own private studio lab at Chalice where it all began. Yungin has been able to collaborate and work with some of his idols in the game such as Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Tiger JK and even the late great Nipsey Hussle (RIP) shortly before he passed.

Through it all, Yungin shares his story of struggles and success and how he used vulnerability and perspective to his advantage. His ability to maintain that focus and “the marathon” frame of mind to this day is remarkable and motivation enough to understand why he has been able to consistently grow and enjoy the whole process itself. In this episode, Yungin dives deep into the music industry and how his faith has always been a constant factor and the impact it has had on his life both in and out of the studio.
