I’m Kayla, and this is my testimony (finally I knowww)!

I grew up in a divorced household. One side full of family and community, while the other was quiet and sometimes lonely.

Little time in Sunday school was my first exposure to God, but I didn’t really know how to follow Him. Middle school brought anime and webtoons I probably shouldn’t have watched. Later, a friends invitation to a Christian concert introduced me to Christ in a new way.

High school was hard. Moving from Brooklyn to Long Island left me homesick, lonely, and struggling with seasonal depression. Parties, drinking, and edibles didn’t fill the void. God kept me through suicidal thoughts and emptiness 💔.

Seeds of faith were planted by friends (shoutout Michael & Catherine), cousins (Izzy & Jacool), and my Tati’s guidance (Yovena & Yanick). During COVID, Daniel, my essay advisor, encouraged me toward Jesus every chance he got. Then I had a final crashout between my family and me was tired of everything and said to myself, let me try this Jesus everyone is talking about. I downloaded the Bible app, called my cousin for guidance.

In 2021, I said yes to Jesus 🙏. Soon after, I found the Christian rapper I saw at the concert; now learning he is a pastor! I watched his sermons online, joined a youth Bible study, and started seeking God for myself. I joined New Believers Class, learned about baptism, and realized God cares about your heart, not just knowledge.

In 2022, I got baptized 💧 and have been growing ever since, staying grounded in purity, purpose, and peace ✨.

My story may not be wild or sound a bit boring. But I pray my story reminds someone that Jesus saves anyone at any time and is waiting for you to accept Him ❤️

🌟 Angels are Part of God’s Team ✝️

Angels are part of God’s team it’s crazy how some people don’t even notice that! 😲 They help us and carry God’s power, and though God can handle everything on His own, He uses angels to make things easier and help us feel more comfortable.

💡 Angels aren’t just helpers they also reflect God’s leadership. Unlike a dictator who only cares about themselves , God’s team wants everyone to grow and level up together. That’s such a powerful reminder of His love and care.

🙏🏾Respect the leader, God, and notice the difference between Him and the enemy. One lifts everyone up, the other only serves themselves. Choose the team that builds you, not breaks you 💖.

🙌 Meet Christian 🤸🏾‍♂️,

Baptized in 2023 and now finishing his first year of college. Before all that Christian was a church baby who loved gymnastics and won national competitions 🏆.

Christian won something more powerful than any trophy but the will of God 🤯: after being diagnosed with epilepsy in 2023, Christian battled seizures, tough medicine side effects, and moments of doubt. Throughout it all, he continued to pray and trust in God.

Fast-forward doctors later found ZERO seizure activity. Today, Christian is celebrating a whole year seizure-free 🙌. And who knows you might see Christian on the highway. All glory goes to God Amen!!! A walking miracle!

💡 Key Reminder: God’s plan is bigger than any diagnosis. What looks like a setback can be the setup for your miracle.

💖 Final Thought: Healing doesn’t always come overnight, but God is faithful. Christian’s journey reminds us to stay rooted in prayer, trust His timing, and give Him glory every step of the way.

Do NOT compromise your friends, family, or fun work studies at the cost of your SALVATION. If it pulls you away from God, it was never a gift from Heaven. 🙏🏽 Compromising only pushes you back instead of forward.

💡 : I once compromised my comfort instead of getting something done and iitcosted me and reminded me why staying true to God is everything. If someone or something in your life is not pointing you to Him, but instead pulling u away. It’s time tto reconsider. Protect your walk, don’t compromise, and keep growing! 🌱

💖 Out of love and respect, don’t be a pawn for the enemy be an ambassador for Jesus. AMEN

Hi Villagers 👋🏽

NGL I come of cold id not rude when hurt. God’s been teaching me to have grace and still move like Jesus, even in an imperfect world with imperfect people… including me. 🙏🏽

That day I had some issues with family, friends whaterver and I had to walk in forgiveness. Not just set a boundary, but reinforce it while still enjoying life. Adulting is hard, but that’s part of the life. Learning to know when to separate personal struggles and still enjoy the life God gave you.

💭 Walking as a Christian isn’t always easy, but it’s always better when you choose to act more like Jesus. For I refuse to a pawn for the devil amen. ✨

Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel

I was watching a video about Conviction and Sin as a Christian at max volume. And people started to crowd around me, and I was like, oh, let me put the volume down

Then God convict me and said, Why? Are you putting the volume down for their convenience? The word of God needs to be said/heard loud n clear, regardless. Why are you shutting down your Christianity for the comfort of no believers?

And I said, God, wow didn't have to hit me that hard cuz That stung but I had to say, “Amen, thank You, God.” 🙏🏽 cuz faxxs. So I left the volume the way that it was made me a little uncomfortable not sure if anybody was listening, but I pray God work through them and learned the same things I did.

💭 Reminder: Never mute your Christianity for someone else’s comfort. If the Word stirs the room, let it stir.

Today (2024), I’m breaking down something that hit me while reading 1 Samuel 16: 14 and it had me confused. It said God “sent” an evil spirit, and I was like nah, that ain't right. Our God don’t move like that.

👥 Community Matters

That’s why having a church fam is so key. My leader helped me see it wasn’t that God caused the spirit, He *allowed* it. When people keep denying Him, their own hearts harden. Same with Pharaoh, God showed Himself over and over, but Pharaoh kept rejecting Him.

⚡ God Allows, Not Causes

If you keep shutting God out, your heart will lock itself up. And when His Spirit withdraws, like with Saul, you’re wide open for the enemy to step in. *Cough**Cough**Habakkuk* free will

🛡️ Covering of Christ

Here’s the Good News: once you’re in Christ, His Spirit stays with you. Salvation means protection. You don’t have to fear being left uncovered. For Jesus died for us and gave us the Holy Spirit! Amen its up to us to stick with God day in and day out!

Gods absence leaves evil. Stay close to Jesus and scripture amen!

💵 Money & Faith Alicia isn’t rich YET, but she trusts that God will come through throughout the process. She fully trusts God to supply and knows her efforts are not in vain.

“Even when it looks like there’s no way, He always makes a way.”

💗 People & Patience Alicia has grown in grace and patience since her walk, especially when folks are hard to deal with. But she always tries to keep Scripture in mind, even when it’s tough.

“Love your enemies” isn’t just a verse—it’s real life.

🧠 Reflection Talking with Alicia made me realize that how you treat money and people really shows your walk with God. If you’re reckless with one, chances are you’re reckless with the other. They both need intentional care.

“You can’t avoid money or people, but you can choose to manage both with God in mind.”

💖 Final Thought: How we handle what’s in our hands reveals what’s in our hearts. Whether it's money or people, treat it like it matters to God.
