I have been on this journey of healing and allowing myself to feel what I feel in the moment, instead of allowing it to build up inside of me. I want to encourage others to start this journey of healing, especially black women and men. I feel it is important for us to stop stressing and start expressing, and healing.
Today episode was based off a chapter from Cicely Tyson book, Just As I Am. The chapter was called Unspoken. Ms. Tyson shared how she was not educated about her menstrual cycle or how a female becomes pregnant. She did what she told without any explanation. I feel that upsoken conversations that parents may avoid about sex needs to stop. If we don't have the conversation with our children, we are leading our children into the world blindsided.
As black women we are labeled "strong black women" but that lable is not healthy for our mentally, emotionally, and physically well being. Black women, we need to stop allowing this fuck up world to lable us, and we need to break this cycle.
Growing into your confidence it's about using past experiences to build your authentic character. Which will guide you to your confidence. Being confident does not mean you have everything together it just means that you understand your life purpose and you value your life experiences. #No regrets just life lessons
I am expressing my opinions, my feelings, and my thoughts on innocent black people being murdered and killed by law enforcement. Some law enforcements officers are claiming it's a "mistake" or an "accident" I am calling it BULL SHIT!!! They are MURDERS/ KILLERS, and they need to be charged like any other citizens.
This episode is a recap of my previous episodes and a little bit of a backstory of how I came about choosing these topics. I hope you enjoy and thank you for listening to Golden Conversations. I look forward to doing more. Please give me your feedback or leave a me a voice message to any of the espiodes. I would love to hear from you. Remember No Regrets Just Life lessons.
Don't allow social norms be your reality but create your own path. Be comfortable in your own skin, don't compare your life to others, but embrace your own journey.
There is nothing wrong with change and letting go of old habits or Traditions that are unhealthy. That is ok to be vulnerable and being vulnerable does not mean that you're weak. Sharing your story can help others.
In embracing the process, you'll need to accept where you are in life and live in that moment. While living in that moment, trusting the journey of having confidence in the unknown.
