Golf Is Ruining My Life

IS IT POSSIBLE? DO WE DARE TO BELIEVE? Could after 48 hours at Augusta National the concept of back to back wins for Rory begin to dawn as a reality. Maybe. Just Maybe.

The lads are back chatting with Alex from Todays Golfer on the hallowed turf of those Georgia Links. The only issue is that Green has been for a curry, watched zero golf, and had three pints of strong continental larger. It’s not ideal for us for the sponsors.

Strap yourself in for 30 mins of lukewarm takes and even more lukewarm-er-er banter.

It may be Golf Christmas out there this week, so to celebrate Toms G and P head over to Woodhall Spa with their pals at England Golf to play the hardest golf course in the country. In many ways this is their Masters Moment.

So, to prepare for the first (and last?) format featuring a rhyme:

TOM GETS A METRONOME

TOM THINKS HE’S PLAYING WELL

AND we do our first Roast or Toast as we go through one of YOUR scorecards with our pals at England Golf.

All this and more heading your way. AND don’t forget this week is of course Masters Week so we’ll be doing DAILY podcasts after each round. AND we’re starting our interview special - Talk Birdie To Me - with a MASTERS CHAMPION this Wednesday.

Ever wondered how you would fare in a foursomes match if an LPGA player relied on YOU to keep it in the fairway... in today's episode we found out by speaking to professional golfer, turned coach, Ryan Evans. He did JUST THAT a few weeks ago around Sunningdale. You can check out his Insta here.

Also on today's episode we start the built up to The Masters next week and dive straight into Email Corner with our friends at Todays Golfer

Alright Par Pals,

On today’s show Tom and Tom tackle a question that has ended more rounds than slow play

Should you be taking DRIVER off every tee?

We’re talking full send vs playing sensible, when driver is actually the smartest play, and when it’s basically a guaranteed double before you’ve even warmed up.

All this and more heading your way.

See you Thursday!

I do declare the golfing season for 2026 open and ready for business. There has been a switch in the air over previous days and it feels like change is afoot. With Augusta around the corner, longer nights approaching and handicap optimise ripe within WhatsApp groups, it would appear the long winter is gone.

With all that in mind, The Toms come out the blocks hot announcing two major new partnerships, one with England Golf and one with Today’s Golfer. Ensuring prizes galore over the coming months. Also, it’s Thursday so expect a thorough rummaging in the email inbox.
