In late 2025, permitting reform for energy projects became a major priority for Congress, and with good reason. Consistently rising energy costs, compounded by rising demand from the AI race, show the drastic need to get new energy projects up and running as soon as possible. However, Congress’ permitting solutions failed to address one major hurdle for new electrons: the Administration’s regulatory slowdown of fast-to-build and cost-effective solar projects. Representative Susie Lee of Nevada sounded the alarm to her colleagues in Washington on this gap in the legislation, and she joins the Good Energy podcast as Congress continues to negotiate and perfect permitting reform legislation.

Good Energy is hosted by Stephanie Bosh, Colin Silver, and the Solar Energy Industries Association.
