Today's episode is featuring D.C Ballard with an excerpt from story 6 (Jena & Kent) from the Backroom Collection.
Jenna and Kent are married humanoid foxes who are separated by duty and miss each other desperately.
They have an open relationship, but nothing compares to the passion that they share.
With the help of a good friend, a dragon, they are brought back together by the magic of The Backroom.
In this excerpt, they reunite and rekindle their love in a scorchingly hot, public scene.
Jenna Kent is a humanoid Fox with a dark ruddy red colour to her fur, with a very sub-
species specific pattern of white on her belly and chest. Her husband, Kent Kent, is very similar in colour but with a different pattern of white. Also, Dragons are exceedingly rare, and almost never seen outside of
their colonies in the high mountains of the planets main continent. (Inside baseball of the story: they're
refugees and not actually native to the planet)
I am an author of Science Fiction, Science Fantasy, and SciFi Erotica, or what I like to call story-driven SciFi Erotica. That means I won't shy away from my characters getting down to it, but I will also Fade-2-Black when that encounter isn't a driver of the story. Though when I do, I'm told it has resulted in a few attempts to recreate the events by the readers and their chosen mates. That's good, right?
As a writer, I am what is called in the author world, a Pantster. What is a Pantster? That is someone who writes by the seat of their pants. There is no planning, no outlines, and I rarely know what is going to happen next or where the story will end until I get there. I am more the stenographer for my characters, recording their lives, thoughts, and those things they choose to share with me, that I might share it with you. Considering some of the things they share, it could be said I'm a bit of a voyeur.
I currently have one book out, Chaos Fountain.
Chaos Fountain - In the wrong place at the right time, on the worst day of his life, Kyle lands in Joe's. Falling for the waitress, Kyle is drawn into a wider universe of business meetings with gods, intergalactic politics, and war across universes.
